Can I put up my Christmas lights now?

You're my prototype house. I looked at the links you posted (much appreciated) but price at the time didnt work for me. Need to buy all I want in one shot plus some spares so color temp matches and after putting it in the cart, I wasnt that interested in paying that much for the project.

It was definitely a bit of an investment, but I really like the outcome and don't miss putting lights up every year and then taking them down etc etc.

I have 2 other strings I bought at the same time for the second level but I haven't yet grew balls big enough to get up there and install them.

I found a great solution no lights on the house saves so much time.

Can you even see your house from the road? Half the appeal of xmas lights seems to be neighbour appreciation. My parents neighbours can't really see the house so they have never had outside lights.

There is a house in Milton that puts on a show every year. Music is available through the radio. Can't remember which channel.
All processed from donations go to the Milton Hospital. There usually is a long line of cars to drive by and watch for a few minutes.
I think last year they were taking donations through e-transfer.

I used to put up lights just for my kids enjoyment. The majority were in the backyard where they could see them from their bedrooms, kitchen etc. The ones out front were sparse as they were just for the neighbors 'approval'. I noticed after a few years my neighbors started doing their backyards as well.

My wife wanted one of those stupid multi-colored lasers. It has migrated around and now shoots across the backyard. As an unexpected side-effect, laser across an open hot tub in the winter makes an interesting light show.
