Can i put a newer model of dashboard on my 92 gsx-r

Oil cooled bikes don't have a rad, though some have an oil cooler. They are cooled by the oil circulating in the engine as well as air blowing over the cylinder fins.

Liquid cooled bikes have a rad, and are cooled by the rad fluid running around the cylinders and head then cooling off as it flows through the rad.

So then how do i no whats what cuz it has a rad and the fan turns on when its hott

What part of "oil cooled bikes DON'T have a rad" are you having the most trouble with?

Your bike has a rad. I think you can figure this one out.

yo you dont have to be ignorant about it like foreal we all dont have your god given expertise hear im trying to learn alright!

I'm not trying to be a dick man. I don't know how else to say oil cooled bikes don't have a rad.
Everyone starts somewhere, I understand that. The best thing you can do is buy or download a service manual for your bike.

Fair enough! and thats what im going to do grab my bike manual if i can find one or just download it

Dude a cursory Google search will tell you only US GSX-Rs were oil cooled after '91. Now that that's cleared up, those speedos are really great. I haven't heard a single bad thing and had one on my last bike. The GP one has pretty much any feature you could ever need but it's around $400

no it has a radiator and when the heat guage goes up when im stuck in traffic or something the fan comes on to cool it down some...i just dont no if its oil cooled or liquid cooled cuz people tell me these bikes are oil cooled and i just thought it was air cooled cuz how my rad works

u sed al 3 in teh same sentince witch meens u dont no the diff kinds of engin cooling:

Those Koso gauges look so much better than the stock.....think i'll google around to see if they fit on the 2009 Ninja 250R

Your right i had no idea how the cooling systems worked which is why i was asking questions. But after all this and a few searches about coolant systems and skematics of them i have established that my gixxer is liquid cooled..So many people including the mans post above yours persistently says they are oil cooled.

No, we are the Canadian market...not the American market. AMERICAN '92 GSX-Rs are oil cooled, EVERYONE else is liquid cooled...
