Can I further reduce the noise on my aftermarket exhaust ?

Loud pipes risk rights.

I'm sorry, but I have to; don't delude yourself into thinking that not using a loud pipe will preserve our rights to be able to do so. What good are our rights if we can't express them.

That's not the point. Loud pipes may cost you the rights to ride in certain areas AT ALL - regardless of loud or not. It's a particular problem for off-road riders. Loud mufflers lead to landowners restricting access to ALL motorized vehicles.

Bermuda,

I'm struggling with the logic but the fact is that in some places in Canada and the USA laws are now in place limiting how loud a streetbike can be. That didn't happen because too many people kept their stock pipe.

Don't get me wrong I like the sound of a loud pipe in the right place, and a loud snotty header was often one of my first mods. But now I think I'm further ahead changing gears nears redline without drawing attention to the fact.

I agree with you both; I was just being pedantic with the phrasing of your statement. A time and place, lest we all can't have nice things.
