Can I do my M test on Scooter

I good friend had an old 150 (ish) Vespa that couldn't do much more than 80. He scheduled the test with the ministry during rush hour(s), no issue hitting "highway speeds" during the test (merge on, merge off).

If memory serves me correct, he took the test at the ministry location that used the Allen Expressway for the highway portion. This solution was common for the vintage scooter crowd at the time, before the low speed license.

Your scooter claims a top speed of 70 mph (little better than 110 kph) which (as you are riding on highways) know should be enough for the test. BUT you may want to hedge your bets...

Another option to my previous post, find a test centre out of the GTHA that is not near a 400 series highway. The highway portion will be on a 80 kph highway like 7 etc. Requires a road trip on the test day of course.

I did my test at the Guelph test centre. Fastest portion of the test was Silver Creek Parkway. Traffic lights on the Parkway kept the speed down. I hit every red light for the length of the test on the Parkway. Turn around on 7 then back to the barn. No problems with the examiner as to whether my ride (Vino 125cc) was up to the task. Easy peasey.

I did my test in Peterborough. The highway portion was enter the highway, lane change and back, and take the first exit. Easy peasy.

yes you can! I did it... on a Yamaha...

A Burgmann will do fine as well

Edit: ... and yes, I did it at the ministry!

I took my M test on an 80 cc scooter but that was a long time ago. Was fun to watch the guys on big bikes struggling to walk a figure eight with their heavy bikes while I practically carried my bike around.

anywy to answer the question, if you show up on a limited speed bike (50 km or less) you get a license that only lets you ride limited speed bikes. Same goes for three wheeled motorcycles.
