Can anyone recommend an honest mechanic who works with kawasaki ninjas?

You are kidding right? These guys flatly told me that they weren't capable of fixing my gear box 3 years ago, wow really? Professional bike mechanics can't fix a gear box on a bike? I took it to Rosey Ted's and they fixed the problem the same day. I wouldn't recommend Pro6 Cycle if I were you.

That is actually a pretty admirable thing they did. I would rather be told that a job can't be done than have them screw around and do a poor job or make it worse. Just because they have a shop doesn't make them the absolute authority on all work.

Nah. the guys at Pro6 know their jam, caboose483 probably nailed it.

I had a really bad experience at Rosey Toes. They did a fork seal job on my ex500, charged me ~$800 for it, and less than a season later the seals were leaking. Took it to Kahuna only to find out that the spacers at the top of the forks were missing - causing free flow of air in / out and reduced pressure. I don't mind paying the money considering my safety is at stake, but I'd like to be confident that the job was done well. So its -1 for me re Rosey Toes. Conversely, I had a good experience at Kahuna, and also at Heritage Auto.

:angry7:

You paid $800 to get your fork seals replaced? Holy ****!
If you own a Kawasaki, nobody should work on your bike other than JohnnyP636.

I mis-spoke earlier. Sorry, I blame it on poor memory and a general bad feeling about the whole experience. So to clarify, for the $800 Ted also safetied the bike, tightened the handlebars which involved something to do with the forks, as well as doing the fork seals. At any rate, I left feeling sure all was not right. This was my first bike, so it was a bit of a learning experience. The next mechanic I took it to looked at the bike, pointed out a number of issues, and reinforced my suspicion that I'd been suckered. At any rate, I'm sure lots of people swear by Rosey's. I'm just not one of them. Live and learn...

I learned to NEVER take it there for major work if it is left over night. Any work that is done while you wait is generally ok. $800 for all that is way out to lunch, should be closer to $400.

Z1 is deff a good place to go ...

Great customer service, Glenn is awesome and very helpful !. So are his mechanics?

I will have a brand new bike this year (2013) and after my warranty is over I will go back to him for service work!
