Also, a lot of restaurants in the strip plazas.

I was looking at the other locations via satellite view, and I am not sure. Gotta spin by and check it out in person. But not a lot of spots. And distance from the highway.

Looking at a nice central spot this one sounds pretty good. It allows people to come from the east or the west and take some slightly northern backroads to get there and not deal with traffic. And like you said, it’s also so close to the highway and other businesses in the same place that make it more attractive location.
 
Another vote for Woodbine and 16. Weston road locations are not central to riders in the east end.

West end riders would say the same thing.

East end riders have KC...and a few others.
Now they can plan rides to headquarters.

I used to have KC poppin. I live in Newmarket(2009), and managed to find time to always reach(46 km×2).
Well It's time for a new spot(37 km×2), which is still a distance...but who's complaining(rider).

That's why I pose, I already did somewhat of a ride.
But also still end up downtown Toronto.

But, your vote counts.
We'll figure it out.
We can always make woodbine location Pop.

I will most likely use Newmarket Thursday spot, for rides to headquarters.

Headquarters is for everyday. Like a Terminal for bikes.
Bikes are always going to be in and out, so shouldn't get too crowded.

Will also need a cool name...followed by HQ or Terminal...We'll see. But I would like a one word name.

Maybe HQ...but creating a social media page will need more letters.

Went into woodbine/16 lot today.
I can't vision it...I looked at a few angles.

Still looking for more locations.
Need to checkout Leslie and 7 Timmies.
Looks okay on maps via satellite.
Lots of roadside spots.

hey @Poser, i like the idea. Have you checked out bathurst and rutherford timmies lot? pretty big

also its cool that you are posting on GTA motorcycle. this used to be popping 6 or 7 yeas ago... where does all the motorcycle communication happen now?

The thing is...Bathurst is really far off the highway.
I need the spot to be right next to the highway.
Also highway 7 is a nice pull from the 401, on 400.
Welcoming riders from east, west, north and south.

I would say it was Me, juancho, cliff & Jamie(toysareforboys) that made KC(Kennedy Commons) the spot in 2008 and onward. It grew to be the spot to be at anytime/anyday after sundown, especially Wednesday's...6pm until tired(1-2-3am).

Well I moved to Newmarket in 2009-present, but still went to KC 3-4 times a week. It was a good ride to and from...also got cold some nights going home.

I would love to shorten the distance a tiny bit, and would tolerate Newmarket to Highway 7...to be at the meeting spot. As I would always have people constantly waiting on me. The new location would be closer to get there, and also closer to home.
And it works for others too, that live a distance too.

Hopefully everyone understands what I am trying to say. It's central to everyone on the outskirts of the GTA.
And it will make a fun ride from your local spot near your home, as an awesome destination that will most likely always have bikes in the lot.

Yes.
Whatsapp groups took over, and then Facebook pages.

I chose to start it here, because it's where it all started.
And not everyone is on social media and might prefer.

Also get tips and suggestions from my fellow long-timers with positive feedback.

Once I/We confirm the best location. I will be using social media and Whatsapp groups to spread the word.

We all rode really far to L&L every Thursday, and we did it. This is a no brainer. We need this.
It's boring going to a spot and only seeing 2-3 bikes in a lot.

Take a ride and check it out guys...lots of restaurants in the Square. Lots of parking strips to keep crews together.

Might do a meetup there soon.

yeah, back 10 years L&L every Thursday was the spot I always hit :)
Newmarket Bike Nights seems way too close for me now - only 3 min away lol

Tim's at 7501 Weston Rd. looks good to me.

The only other place I can think of is Fairview Mall, kind of similar to KC I'd guess.. Close to hwys and lots of parking (busy on wknds though..)

Thinking to do a meetup on Monday...23 degrees.

Did pandemic, isolation and quarantines make some ppl so bitter and negative??
I would come for support but can’t today - riding my first good miles up North, be back late and tired..
if weather hold up - end of this week or next weekend. And there is always next year to start fresh...

Haha, yes...I answered everyone and got them quiet.

I was ready for it...I ain't timid or soft.
Internet gangsters don't phase me.
But I 100% keep calm, and answer in a calm and respectful manner.

All good though, it's a popup meet and greet.

Hey guys, so I actually did 3 meets so far.

The official meet was on Saturday July 16th 2022.
It was small but a blast. Fun times. It will definitely get bigger.
