The Cabot Trail is one of the best rides anywhere. *Great* scenery, in a great area with many nice roads close by. A trick to riding the Trail is to ride with the ocean side on your right. It's better for avoiding cagers crossing the line as they tighten up their left turns and for avoiding gravel on the inside line, (rock side) caused by cagers who can't stay on the road. IIRC, Marine Drive in that area had so many twisties I could hardley wait to get off it, but that was at the end of a long day. But the Cabot Trail itself is breathtaking.
+1 on doing the Cabot Trail counter-clock wise. Also, check out Meat Cove if you feel adventurous

riding through NB wasn't too bad. My least favourite was going through Montreal at rush hour, so plan accordingly.
