Met a guy who opened up a brokerage with some buddies....shadiest dude I ever met. They bought a Tesla Model S so they can share it b/w the owners, and show people that they're making money. They were barely making payment on it after a year or so of being in the business.I had thought about trying a little of some crypto a while ago. Opted out as was a little confusing. Is there an issue selling bitcoin or etherium? Thought I had read that it was not quiet a simple process of cashing out so to speak.
The security feature is on the usb drive he has not the walletWhile I agree that keeping them offline is infinitely better than in an online repository, make sure you dont lose your lottery ticket.
Buddy in link below has $321M in bitcoin in a hardware wallet he forgot password to. That particular wallet has imo a terrible security feature where you only get 10 guesses at the password before it makes the contents permanently inaccessible. Wtf. What does that help? Permanently inaccessible is functionally the same as stolen. What is the upside to such a stupid security measure?
Ah, got it. That makes more sense. Still a bad situation though. On the upside, there is enough money there that you can afford to hire the best on contingency with a ridiculous rate and you all win if you get the data off.The security feature is on the usb drive he has not the wallet
I have one of those drives that I can't remember the password to in my desk drawer lucky it has nothing on it that matters now.
