Burger nights in KW

I did start the thread. Not sure I'm organizing it but I'd be willing to help try.

We had enough people show interest so I think we should be able to pick a day. I'm thinking this is a weekly or maybe bi weekly event depending on interest and more importantly turn out. Being retired I'm pretty flexible so I'll ask others to chime in. Once we settle on a day we can maybe change the name of the thread to reflect it.

Location: I think we should follow Evoex's lead and visit a new local each time. Unless people feel strongly opposed I'm OK starting with Burger Preist.

The last question for is: Is it a ride or a meet? Do we individually meet at the eatery or meet up first and ride there. From a logistics point of view the former seams easier but I'm glad to flow with the majority.

What says those interested?

My vote is to have the same meet spot every time and ride to food from there.
I’m in as long as it’s not Wednesdays - I work late that day.
Tuesday would be my vote, but realistically I’m good for any day but Wednesday.

Tuesday is actually my first choice. I'm fine either way about the pre ride. Coming from St Marys I'll get my ride in either way.

If you folks give me permission I can send off newsletter style emails as a reminder through my website
I'm trying to reduce incoming email. I would think this forum should be adequate.

Where's a good place to meet pre ride? Coming from St Marys I'd prefer something on the west side.....

From where you’re coming from you’ll pretty much be going past my door. I’m in Wellesley so you could meet me here and we could go to the meet spot together.
As for an initial meeting place, I’d say somewhere either just outside of Waterloo or at the very edge of the city. Maybe somewhere around the Boardwalk area if people would prefer south-ish end or St Jacobs area to avoid some of the traffic? Lots of decent riding roads if leaving from St Jacobs.

Market road antique’s/ crazy cauck has lots of parkng if you want north waterloo area

Public parking lot/ behind fire hall or at the arena in north end of St Jacob has lots of parking

Ya, something like this. Or possibly even Picard’s at the round about?

St Marys to KW by way of Wellesly is not exactly the direct route...
Still I'm wide open for the most part. I agree with Katatonic about meeting at one restaurant only to ride to another.

Just to throw out more questions before we answered the first, what's a good time?

Who knows our first ride could be next week the way the weather is going.

Has to be some parking lot time for the swapping lies and kicking tires.

If thursdays weather holds, I’ll be pulling the Versys out of hibernation and going for a ride. I’ll be leaving Elmira at 4:00 and likely heading out around Conestogo Lake.

Is the bike in Wellsly or Elmira?

I generally volunteer on Thursday but since I'm a volunteer and not a voluntold (the nickmane for folks doing community service hours) I could bail on that. I'll be watching the weather.

Arena is right beside Picard’s… it’s a 5-7 minute ride to the Crazy Canuck from there.

For anyone who likes craft beer and has extra storage space, Block 3 Brewing is downtown St. Jacobs…
Growlers are $12 across the board.
