Maybe the legals beagles can comment but all the driver intended to do was run the crossing and the fine is approprite for that. The death and injury were incidental so no biggie to the court. Morals be damned.

Isn't that why we have a manslaughter charge? For unintentionaly killing someone.

I mean, I don't want the guy strung up..just seems he gets off rather lightly. People should understand they're operating a giant wrecking ball..and there should be something a little more serious than a $500 fine. License suspension?? Anything?!?!
