Brrrr....little chily out this morning!

Try this trick when riding in the cold;

At a steady pace (not wihle braking or accelerating), pulsate your grip on the handlebars; as in, squeeze them periodically for 10-15 seconds. It increases blood flow to your hands, and they'll feel warmer.

Won't get you through the winter, but it works for me on the highway @11deg.C with regular leather street gloves. I also do this on my mountain bike during winter rides, heh.

Has anyone heard of or tried the Oxford Bone Dry Gloves?? Parker Bros has them so I wanted to hear any thoughts/opinions.

Monday was chilly. Tuesday was great.

I like these crisp morning rides. I have warmer gear when it really gets warm, but for now still in my summer gloves. Mine you I have much more wind protection then most bikes, so my hands are not getting a direct blast of cold air.

Ya I love these types of mornings as well! My hands really take the brunt of it so I need to get that taken care of with new gloves...but still can't find ones that fit right.

Seriously, buy a pair of runners gloves and use those under any cheap ski glove and you will be golden. I paid $15 dollars for a pair at costco. I also bought a pair of gloves at the same for $20. With this setup my hands will be warm at minus 10 riding temps I guaranty it!

I run heated grips with wind deflectors on the fairings and "no longer waterproof but somewhat wind proof lined" gloves to -15C.

If you find your feet getting cold; look into some ducks unlimited thermal socks (http://ww3.ducks.ca/cgibin/www.cgi?...W048L1&ab=1&kp=C1015&ex=DUOSSPW048B2000009994)
I've been wearing them whenever it gets cold out for the past few years and they always keep my feet nice and warm. Through hunting, skidooing, hiking, etc, in deep deep snow. Even wore them (doubled up: so 2 pairs on each feet) on my way to the states (in below freezing temps) with just running shoes, and was very surprised with how warm my feet stayed (or shall I say, how frozen they didn't become. It was bloody cold with sneakers!)

Plus it has the added bonus of contributing money to help preserve the wildlife if you're into that kind of thing: if not, they're damn comfy and plenty warm. I think I bought mine at walmart, can't remember. Haven't had to buy any for a couple of years; they last that long.

Still need a good pair of windproof boots though.

STILL wearin shorts...ya its a lil chilly ridin home late night...might be last week
