Brrrr....little chily out this morning!

^ Yeah the warmer packs. At the exhibit they had all different shapes and sizes... I can't recall how long they last for once you've activated the heating.

Heated grips are fine for cool mornings like today for a short commute, but for a long day's ride in cool / cold temperatures, heated gloves are a necessity.

New from Alpine. Thinking about them. Plus they are a nice Company to deal with. Fast replies.

Those are very nice...but at that price range it's considerably higher than what I would be willing to pay.

I think the wind is the main problem so I guess another solution may be those 'hippo' gloves that protect the hand from the wind, or even installing some type of wind guard...motocross style.

No more days above 20 degrees going into October. You'll see less than half the bikes you would normally on the roads now. I'm going to cash in on my Under Armour discount and invest in some compression Cold Gear.

Its been a mild summer, I'm sure we will still see some 20+ temps going into Oct.

I bought 4 of these handwarmers from Lee Valley for $6 each. They are great for kids while waiting for the Santa Claus parade. You bend a metal disk and they provide heat for about 40 minutes, after which they turn a translucent white solid. Boiling them and they go clear, ready to be reused. They are nice and work well under mitts but are bulky. They also don't heat the palm side of your fingers. Combined with heated grips these are a good combination.

Heated grips in combination with a windshield that deflects the wind from your hands is a good combination.

I wore biking gloves under my motorcycle gloves today...does not work as they're fingerless and have no cuffs lol. maybe like a 5% increase in warmth and 30% increase in awkward puffiness.

great ride today toasty warm with the arctic armour clothes, only problem was some idiot cager moving in front of me ,I was moving pretty fast so it was a judgement call but the cager didnt look as usual.

ya under armour clothing is awesome for this type of weather. I also found that covering my neck with a balaclava or some type of scarf is fantastic for riding on cooler days...just cuts down the windchill enormously.

Why is online shopping so weak in Canada....Best thing about working in the States is ordering stuff from amazon.COM.
Sportchek has a burton liner but its $30.

Amazon will ship a lot of stuff to Canada.

I just ship to a friend.

I got some silk liners from some online shop. Work pretty good. Still won't make a vented summer glove into a winter one, though.

My Scorpion Gunner XDR gloves suck. Not recommended.

Funny how the body and brain work sometimes, eh?

14*C after winter = "yeah yeah yeah, ride ride ride" with a t-shirt on

14*C before winter = "yo, pass the ski wax, dude"

Fv<kin' brain! :o

When i ski, its gonna be -5 and ill be rocking a t-shirt with long sleeves under and im good
But right now, in the morning i need to layer clothing in order to not freeze,

I say body temp adjusts according to season lol

No matter what though, my hands always get cold :(
