It's comparing apples to oranges, op was concerned about street use not track
Just showing that we used that tire more aggressively than anyone would on the street, with good results.

what is the rear brake for then? Should I just get rid of it altogether?
Actually it is not ... because if the tire was up to a track demand, don't you think it would be more than enough to goof around Ontario streets??
Yes, there are features you want on a street tire, track doesn't require (wet performance and warm-up time), but the OP was talkign about sliding all over the place at street speeds ....
Don't you guys have warmers? Plus running at speeds + high lean angles mean that you could maintain high temps on the tire.
Different scenario
No but Pirelli & Metzler do, thanks for coming outLOL .... that's truly hilarious ... So you know better than Dunlop R&D spending millions on a new technology???
Just let it go, this is like an L&L conversation, just nod and go get a coffee and prepare for a long night of listening to ********.

What's the worst that's going to happen if you stomp on the rear brake? You'll lock the rear wheel, that's it, no drama.

If you perform emergency braking with the front brake only while trying to swerve you'll go down even faster. The issue is that hard braking and turning don't mix. It's amazing how many people swear off using the rear brake instead of having it set up properly and learning to use it properly.

no racer will ever "swear by rear brakes alone" , that person will not last a lap! There's a few racers here who swear by rear brakes alone
