Yup, McCormick 13th...“I’m happy, this was a good effort, but it could have been better, for sure in the top ten. We should have gone back out, we made a rookie mistake together, and we’ll learn from that. We’re learning all the time. Now I’m close enough to the front, I’m getting up with the fast guys.”

Sykes -1st

Crashed out of race 1. Race red-flagged for rain I think..

Apparently Effenbert Liberty is having some financial issues and weren't able to provide a bike to their #1 rider Sylvain Guintoli in Brno. He quit the team. I know Brett McCormick is hoping to be riding at Silverstone but can't find any news on whether or not they have a bike for him or if he has medical clearance???????

Where did you see financial related? I just read it was related to a disagrement between crew(s)?

Liberty has stated that Effenbert has pulled some funding from the team. Also there are some rumors that the so called misunderstanding between management and tech staff is that the mechanics had not been paid. There's a lot of questionable stuff going on around this team. Hopefully Brett gets back and performs well.

Sylvain Guintoli abruptly announced his resignation from the Effenbert-Liberty Racing Ducati team effective this morning on the eve of the Brno, Czech Republic round of the World Superbike Championship. This occurred after his team mechanics failed to show up at the circuit in protest of what is reported to be non-payment of wages, resulting in the team not having a bike for Guintoli to ride this weekend. There are rumors that Guintoli himself has not been paid either, adding
fuel
to speculation that the team is undergoing some financial difficulties, despite having a major presence in the WSBK series, with three WSBK riders, two FIM Superstock riders, and the largest hospitality unit in the paddock.

Effenbert pulled all funding/connections to Liberty Racing following the Monza round.

Effenbert, Liberty, and Guintoli were ****** after Race 1 was cancelled, and Race 2 was delayed by 15 min (which caused bike problems apparently), and was subsequently shortened.

Apparently race direction decided to cancel the race after a sighting lap, in which a few (top) riders did not want to race after. Apparently they only took the consideration of a few riders (Fabrizio, Biaggi, Badovini, all italians, at a home track, who didnt place as well as expected), and ignored those who did want to race.

As a result Effenbert took their ball and went home, Guintoli claimed his contract was nullified (didnt have a bike for Brno) and he left for PATA Ducati, leaving Smrz, Berger,
and McCormick SOL
