BREAST MILK?!!! This one's headed for TT

LMAO!!! Glad you enjoyed the visual I created for ya!! Hahahahaha!!!

It is apparently extremely painful to have this issue and the best way to relieve the pressure is with a strong suck, lol.

Well, if it was YOUR breast, I'd be okay with it :D

I've tasted it. tastes like milk but sweeter.

I thought there was a difference in the breast milk for the time immediately after the birth and like 6 months later ( it becomes thinner )

anyway never tasted it but I thought I just wanted to clarify which variety we are talking about.

I heard that after 1 year mom's breast milk would have no extra benefit anymore.

I believe what those studies were mainly regarding is the uptake of toxins through the developing blood-brain barrier in infants. That after approximately age 1 infants blood-brain barrier was sufficiently developed enough to make introducing other potential toxins found in our foods without worry of them getting through an un developed blood brain barrier. That being said I believe new studies have been done since which dispute this. The other thing to consider is how introduction of cows milk into a babies stomach changes the gut flora. Cows milk protein is much harder for humans to digest as we are not cows. Formula is really just modified cows milk and sill contains the same proteins. Goats milk is a much better choice, actually.

Open Gambit, the first milk in any mammal contains colostrum which contains important antibodies that can keep a baby from getting sick among other things. It is orange-ish and thick. But it is only really evident for the first few days of breast feeding after the baby is born. It's pretty gross but, the first milk that comes out when breast feeding is thin and watery. Once the boob is starting to empty the milk becomes thicker and creamier (more fat). So if you're going to give it a try, don't do it after she has just fed the baby....or after she has had asperagus, haha!

My oldest son screamed for a his first year of life so I did a little research trying to figure out what was wrong with him, lol.

I think I am going to stop reading this thread. its just TMI...

The general rule when it comes to breast feeding is, If you have to bend over to get it your to old to have it.

We had this conversation at my shop, and yes, almost all the new father tried it! When I was 18 I worked in a factory that employed mainly women, and I asked the question, a lot of them said their husband tried it 0_0.
