basically all the dealerships in the Brampton automall are owned by one guy. So they are moving the Suzuki of Brampton Bike dept, Classic Honda bike dept and to this new Powersports shop and including Yamahi into the mix. I been there already. Pretty big place but they didn't finish moving in yet.

If they do it right it will be a great place to go comparison shopping between brands, if they do it wrong they will send more peopel to the internet for everything except the bike. Hopefully they do it right, or else there's one less place that we're going to be able to go within reasonable distance to try bikes on for size.

At least as a bigger vendor/store they should be able to have more demo bikes which means more test rides for us, always a plus.

Almost sounds like a Kahuna-type one-stop shop. I really hope they do it right as well. It'll be great to have a dependable shop in Brampton.

I thought Honda's whole deal was that they didn't want their bikes under the same roof as any other brand. Backtracking on that now, are they? After pulling the rug out from under a few smaller multi-bike shops and putting some out of business.

When I went there, they had tons of bikes on display. No gear section yet. But it looks like it was more of the Honda type pricing instead of the SOB type pricing. SOB's strategy was to sell below msrp and move the bikes. Honda's was "we don't have to lower our prices, you will pay for the quality".

I didn't see any deep discounted priced bikes there. The new CBR600 was 16k!!!!

Found the pricing much more expensive than SOB. Asked about pricing on the same 2010 GSXR 1000 that I looked at a month earlier at SOB. It is now $2,400 more than what I was quoted at SOB. That was a short conversation.

On the positive side, lots of space, multi brands under one roof and hopefully a good selection of gear in the weeks ahead.

not only a guess, they are wayyyyyy overpriced, and customer service or any service just doesn't exist.
Avoid this place like the plague!!!!

I asked for a quote online twice without anyone contacting me back. They don't seem too enthusiastic about selling bikes.

Hey int15 what Bike were you looking for a quote on? I work for Brampton Powersports and can get the pricing for you.

I bought my bike at Brampton powersports. They were really good and shipped the bike to me for free. Ask for Shawn, he's the best and personally delivered my bike. My only beef is that the parts department never picks up the phone and takes forever to call you back.

My name is Geoff Harvey and I do Internet Marketing for the Brampton Auto Mall including Brampton PowerSports. The reason why we are on this forum is to see what the public has to say so we can improve ourselves. I just wanted to let you know that we now have our gear section up with lots to choose from. I personally don't know if the items are overpriced because I am still getting familiar with bike knowledge but we are doing our best to put together an accessories page so you can view what we have online.

As for pricing on bikes, we recently have gone through pricing readjustments to be much more competitive and do our best at providing the best price. For instance I know for a fact we just dropped the majority of our Suzuki models down in price especially the GSX-R line up. For example the 2011 GSX-R 600 is going for $9,999 now which is a pretty good deal as far as I know.

Just read the rest of the posts below mine. I'll assume this is due to growing pain and thanks for your reply. I'll PM you about this if that's ok with you.

Edit: Might also be because of the purchase time frame (Selected 1 year. Would be slightly less than that: beginning of next season).

Int15, its been my job lately to make sure Brampton PowerSports is receiving and contacting back all customers that submit information and just wanted to let you know that they were having trouble in their systems initially receiving some of their leads from specific pathways. Over the past month I have done my best to clear up the issues and want to officially apologize for the inconveniences you had in not getting any response back. I wanted to recommend that you can always grab the gm, assistant manager and sales team e-mails off the staff page and email them directly with questions, comments, complaints and/or inquiries and might get a faster response. I hope that we can make it up to you on your next visit to Brampton PowerSports.

Fair enough. Sorry if I sounded harsh earlier, I totally understand the situation now. And I see you're serious about customer service (i.e. yours and DustinScott's replies). I'll be PMing him as he suggested.

AHHH, stop posting the demo ride, more people to take the bikes I want to test out  :laughing8: Hoping for good weather, see ya'll there

SOB - Good prices, move bikes, lousy sales staff, lousy parts staff, excellent mechanic (Mark).

Brampton Honda - Insanely high prices (bikes and gear), great sales staff, great parts staff, mechanics seemed very young, inexperienced.

Put Mark in charge of the mechanics shop, and keep the prices competative (in-line with US prices) and you guys will do really well.
