Mazda CX-7 did my rear rotors and pads 2yrs ago and my front rotors/pads/master cylinders a few months back. All parts from Partsavatar. Pads/rotors are Raybestos and the MC's were reman oem units which were $85each. No issues front and rear. All free shipping and took about 3-4 days.
Sent my cores back and had that deposit on my card same day they arrived.

I would just go to parts source and grab the stuff

Way to many steps going through mail order crap

Yeah, but most of the time the shipping cost to Canada negates the savings. It is nice that they build in everything so there's no surprises. And they also have a larger selection of brands. I choose to pay a little more to get a set of Raybestos coated rear rotors from them for my daughter's 2019 Jetta along with Bosch pads.
If you double Rockauto list prices you normally get close to the delivered price in Canada. It still works out cheaper and faster than many other options ime.

I am sure everyone knows but just in case... Rock Auto drop ships or at least ships from multiple locations. To keep shipping prices as low as possible make sure to order parts all from the same location. I think they have some hooks there now to guide you on this, or they did last time I ordered.

My general preference is OEM pads and Centric coated rotors. I think I bought my rotors the last time from Amazon, similar price to RockAuto

^ I'll second that. ^

In my experience, for Japanese cars, Rock Auto have always worked out to be far cheaper than local parts stores, stealership (even with discounts), or other online retailers. YMMV with the selection available (some parts you've seen available before no longer there, or new selection that wasn't there before). And so long as you're not in a time crunch (although my orders have always been either on time or early). Unlike other US retailers, there's no BS with customs, duties, DHL/FedEx surcharges and all that nonsense.

The 5% discount code is widely available everywhere on the interweb BTW.

The vendor doesn't have any control over tax and duty, do they?

Does Rock Auto have Canadian customers pay up front? If not, items coming across without GST and/or duty is nothing more than good luck. The CBSA can't inspect every single package.

Yes, you pay up front.

If tax is identified by name (GST/HST in Canada, VAT in the EU, etc.) on your order, we will collect it (and any import duties, brokerage fees, and carrier shipping charges) for that package. The carrier will deliver that package with no additional charges. Our tax ID appears on order confirmations so that tax-exempt customers may reclaim the tax. If you return the product we will refund the tax, but we can never refund import duty.

Another bonus with Rockauto is that some brands will offer limited lifetime warranty
I've gotten a free replacement Bilstein rear shock that failed after 4 or 5 years of usage due to corrosion

Just had to send the failed unit to them through DHL with a shipping label they provided
