bottom feeders strike again!

had my R6 stole from my old condo back in the day (yonge n finch)
anyone who lives in a condo should not keep their bike in the underground, it's gonna get jacked. it's just too easy.

Hope you had insurance!

one should take an ss, load it with explosives, you can't ride the thing, it's only good as a dummy bike for someone to steal...rig it to detonate once some tries to dissasemble it, like remove the tank or something...wait for the explosion to be reported on tv, eat popcorn...smile...

Oh would that be entertaining. If only I have extra cash around

Hope you had insurance!

I have full coverage, I have to since i was financing it from state farm. But lets not forget about the deductible, and the cost of borrowing. I have a feeling that once everything is said and done, i'll still be out some money.

If there was ever good bait for these condo bike thieves - a brand spanking new gixxer is it. Sorry to hear about it, what a downer.

Im sure whoever took it will be waiting for you to get a replacement and once you do... I imagine they'll take it as well.

Having said that, Ive been in my current condo for over a year now and none of the bikes have been stolen... The only supersport though is a CBR600 F4i. The others are mostly sport touring rides like SV's and Bandits. I guess nobody wants those.

Anybody that needs to get rid of a white gsxr right away give me a holla.

OMG - I'm so sorry! I feel for you...I just got the exact same bike in May and can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you.

What about the cameras of the underground? They should have been able to catch the vehicle entering and leaving. Are there any other cameras that might have caught them?

Really sucks to hear about your loss. I wouldn't put off another bike till later. Get an SV650. They don't get stolen and they are more than perfect for commuting and weekend rides. Insurance is also cheaper on them. In your underground are you able to install a bike lock bar into the asphalt? If you could they are great solutions. Also get an audible alarm. The scorpion is wicked and also acts as a gps that you can track with your iphone. If you can't install something like that then maybe see if you can get a spot in front of cameras.

Don't let the f-tard that stole your bike to keep you from enjoying one.

you have full coverage but did you have fire and theft? (I really hope you did)
Over all, I am sorry for your loss but there are other alternatives as to where you can keep your bike... (self storage maybe?) and do not let this discourage you from riding again...
Sh i t happens and this is one of the reasons that you have insurance!
Good Luck!

Yea i have fire and theft. They even make you take out a life insurance policy if you finance from state farm.

This experience hasn't discouraged me from riding at all. Hell, a head on collison with a jeep liberty didn't hinder my love for this sport. But, having to deal with all this BS has made me think twice about condo living.

I think i will invest in a house w/ garage before i even think of another bike.

But did you have the coverage that allows for depreciation? A month old bike is worth a couple thousand less than a brand new bike.

I feel your pain brother, ever since I lost my CBR ive been looking for a place with a garage. with a 220 V garage door hookup.

A friends black 600RR was also stolen from his condos garage this season. Same story, they got access to the underground, new when the spot beside him was empty (this blocks the camera from seeing a bike lifted into the panel van and gonzo, bikes gone.

His bike was only 4 days old.
