One thing about having young kids, we tend to do addition and multiplication (and even division) random challenges here and there.Amazingly, kids born from about 1998 had little recall development on basic arithmetic -- they were never tested on recall fo single-digit arithmetic.
As an employer, you can sometimes see big productivity losses in those millennials. I recently observed a physical inventory in one of our plants, the 60 year olds with grade 9 education could estimate, add, and multiply without a calculator. The young guy's estimation skills were hopeless, and if they had to tally 7 boxes with 60 parts/box they needed calculators.
