Why do you feel that we need to know this detail about your life?
I am sure some people just had children which we can agree is by far and possibly the most important thing in their life and as well for most people. Yet, they are not creating a thread to say, guess what, just had a boy/girl.

After 6 long years of trying to find what I wanted to do and finally finding it and being really passionate about it it's a bit bigger of a milestone for me than having a baby, having a baby is a big deal but when you finally find what you want to do with your life and love it, the milestone is huge as its what sets you up for your life. Was just looking for some good lucks as it's pretty stressful going into it. Now I know there was no reason to stress at all.
I do have a sense of humour, especially for what I do, you have to. I just don't appreciate getting put down for a huge milestone in my life.
