Managed to put on about 300kms between the snow flakes so far. Seems spring is not sure it’s ready to arrive yet.

300 kms is great!

I did the same out here, dodging snowflakes in February and March.

Gonna be a great season when it warms up for you! That thing is quite a mile muncher.

I'm not a fan of pretty much all german products, but always had a soft spot for BMW bikes.

Absolutely loved mine, just wish it had a bit more power.

Yes, welcome to the beemer club! Had a GTL a few years back and loved it. Traded it on a newer RT water cooled . Be prepared for a lot of new tires, all that power is just too tempting. you're going to enjoy that bike!

Before I got the bike, I thought I'd miss the FJR. It's a great bike. This is on a different level.

True.
When I started looking 2 years ago, the RT was in my sights. Two test rides later, my conclusion was that the RT was not different (or better) enough from my FJR to make the change worth while. Then I took out the K1600.
