BMW Fuel Injected Bikes offer

Hello to fellow BMW riders. I have come across a tool called the GS-911. It is capable of scanning Fuel injected BMW bikes for errors and possibly loading eproms to the bike's computer (havent had a chance to play with tool yet). My intention is to offer a free code scanning service on one condition. I am will to purchase the tool for $350 dollars but it only is for use of 5 VIN's. I am not interested in hacking the software as I want support from the manufcturer and the manufacturer is a small South African company that put a lot of effort into reverse engineering the BMW Can BUS System so that we as owners don't have to go to the dealer and pay $100 for diagnostics each time. If you own a BMW bike or car you know what I am talking about.

Anyhow the unlimited version is $549.00 and allows the use of an unlimited # of VINS. In order to keep my cost down as a free service I am asking for donations to gain the extra $200.00 to buy the unlimted version. Again, I am willing to purchase the 5 VIN version myself at a cost of $349 + tax.

If I recieve no responses I will simply purchase the regular version for myself and the first 4 people will have their VINs imputted into the dongle, as well as my VIN (total five) and nothing more.

I think this is a resonable request for some financial help in offering a free service and I have done this service for BMW car owners on the MAXbimmer forums for several years.

Sorry that I can only do BMW bikes at the moment . I have heard that the Kawi ZX 14 is easy to get codes from it's computer but at this time i do not have any experience with it.

If I recive enough interest I will purchase the unlimited version and whoever donates will have there vins scanned for as long as possible. If you don't belive me as to the cost from the dealer please call downtown BMW and ask how much a diagnostic scan is.

As I plan on purchasing the tool within the next few weeks from the canadan distributor it would be nice to know which one to purchase.

thanks

dave

I think, you are not totally correct about the difference between enthusiast and professional versions. First of all, enthusiast supports 10 VINs, and second, it only limits "Maintaince and Service" functionality. You can read and clear error codes on as many bikes as you wish with just Enthusiast version. Now, you can always upgrade Entusiast to Professional online for $220, so no need to buy Professional right away.
And last, but not least, I have Entusiast Bluetooth Gs-911 with only one VIN registered (9 available!) for sale. I'm asking $300 firm, no tax, no shipping, pickup in North York. PM me if you're interested.

i stand corrected, 10 vins instead of five. You can read and clear error codes but not maintenance /SR's? correct?

Well I think its best to have the complete functionality available and that i am sure there are more than 10 bmw owners on this forum who would appreciate this service..

Pm sent...

C'mon, hacking the software is the way to go!!

I'm on bike #46 as we speak ;) lol.

Love ECU flashing!!! Why would they restrict the ECU so bad from the factory?? :(

I was supposed to post pics here of the standard throttle restrictions, and the ones unlocked by the flash, but I can't seem to find them :(

Never mind. The web site's FAQ answered my question. To quote:

Models that will definitely NOT be covered by GS-911:
All motorcycles with mechanical fuel-injection (LE Jetronic) - these are K100, K100LT, K100RS, K100RT, K75, K75c, K75RT, K75s

Original question: Will this tool diagnose Jetronic or Motronic FI systems?
