I'm 6'2", i tried many bikes, but alot of the places the knee is supposed to go cramps my legs up quickly. I Only tried a few, ended up with a newer gsxr. Results are fine, anything over 1 hour, you may need a break.

Your rear-sets should be adjustable if it's a newer Gixx. A guy in our height range should be able to go at least three hours without a break on a new Gixxer unless in poor fitness. They're quite comfortable. Maybe drop your rear-sets an inch and see if that helps.
A lot of people seem to think anyone that is not tiny will look big on a sport bike. I think the frame of reference is off. If you're used to the size relationship between a hog and a medium sized dude than anyone on a sport bike will look too big to you. I've experienced this over my whole riding time. My brother (6'6") rode a Triumph but then got H-D's from then on. When he and I rode together everyone would comment on how big I looked for my bike. Even when I was riding my CBX which is a pretty damn large bike. I wouldn't worry about how you look on the bike.
Depends on how new you want as well, a first gen FZ1 is a fairly large bike, I have one, I am 6' tall with short legs, so my body is about the same as someone 6'3 or 6'4.
I'm 6'3", with a 36" inseam. Because my legs are so long, lots of bikes don't fit.
Right now I'm riding a DL1000 v-strom, which is a brilliant sport-touring bike, and an 08 (gen 2) FZ1, which is quite roomy, for what it is. I did the Buell footpeg mod for another 3/4" legroom.
