Alright, so I am about 6'3" and I am noticing it is really difficult to find a bike that I like that is within my budget and that I don't look odd on because of my size.

I like cruisers, but there doesn't seem to be any cruisers that would be in my price range. All the Sportsters are far too small, and the Dyna series gets far too expensive. So unless someone knows otherwise, HD seems to be a no go.

Then I think, maybe a super sport or a street fighter bike - they are under $10K - but alas they all seem to be quite small as well.

I have always loved the look of the Bonneville, but again, this seems to be far too small also
.
And I know I will get the comment of "Its not about how you look, its about the ride and how it makes you feel"
Well I will retort with, "having a bike thats too small will make me feel like an ***."

Am I left with the options of V-Storm, Versys, or KLR650? Or do you other tall, budget consious riders know something I don't?

Thank you,

You looking for new or used?

Check out r6, r1 or duc 848, cbr1000rr

All of these bikes fit me perfectly

PS: Im 6'1"

I sat on the R6, but it seemed far too small for me, and the R1 I hear is even smaller.

As for new/used, like to go new - but a well kept bike from the used department I'm not opposed to.

6'3" isn't that tall. There are riders on the EX500 forum taller than you. Have you seen how narrow the EX500 is? :p On the plus side, you could always ride a nice, high dual such as a KTM or a KLR. Duals rock.

I'd try the Daytona 675. I'm not super tall, 6'0" but found I could stretch right out on that thing. Haven't sat on another sport bike like it.

I had a Daytona T595 that was just about perfect for me, and I'm 6'1". A 955i would be the same, you could probably find one of those no problem. Same with the ZX-11D I have now - although with the Corbin seat (although it is VERY comfortable) I lost a tiny bit of the seat height, but it's still very good. I mean, I have no idea how they look, but I find these bikes a lot more comfortable than your average sport bikes because they seem to be made for taller people.

6'4" and I ride an FZ6 with 7/8" bar risers. With a lambskin seat cover I can go a full day no problem.

Dual sports....upright seating position, way more sensible than an SS, more versatile, good for long inseam people. I have a naked bike and I'm 5'10" and occasionally I get a bit cramped on mine. Been looking at dual sports for a while.

6'4" on a Ninja 500. I can't complain.

I'm 6'4" and ride a superbike. It fits fine. Do I look like a tall person on a motorcycle? Yes. But guess what? I am a tall person. Unless you buy a Boss Hoss or a Goldwing or sumpin' you're not gonna look small on a bike.

It seems to me you really don't have a good idea of what type of ride you're looking for if your only consideration is whether you'll look big on it. There's a world of difference between a Harley, a Triumph or a Japanese Supersport and it has nothing to do with whether you think you'll look too big. However, if your only consideration is that you don't want to look like a big guy on a bike - you need to buy a very big bike. Like a large cruiser or tourer.

Tiger 1050 is plenty big and it is comfortable, not sure about budget though . I found versys to be too small for me. V-strom is also pretty good size. I am 6'3"

I'm 6'2" with short legs and a tall back.

I ride a Bandit 600 with about 1" higher bars and it's great - although I needed a taller windscreen.

I sat on a VStrom and it seemed great. I sat on Bonnevilles too and I thought they fit fine. Most sport-tour bikes seem fine - VFR, BMW R___RT, Ducati Multistrata, Yamaha FZ6 or FZ8, heck even a CBR F4i felt great and about the right size.

How do the bar risers affect the handling? Does it feel better (i.e. performance or comfort) leaned over in corners?

I'm 6'4. Had a gixxer k7 and was comfortable but i looked kinda of big. Now ride a 2008 R1 and It fits like a glove. And I don't look big on it. The r6 is not bigger.

I am 6'3" and I've ridden SV650, GSXR750 and CBR600RR. All fit very well. CBR600RR feels small, but I find it's because the handle bars are considerably lower then say GSXR. Makes it feel like your *** is up and your front of the body is down. But aside from feeling unusual it's not bad or anything
