bikes down front street 3 damaged

LOL... I didn't realize the OP was the same person who posted the pictures. Entirely agree with you there!

Well, OP did state that he only typed up partial plates because he was in a rush and it's hard to type on a touchscreen. Wasn't because he was trying to block any part of the plates.

Hey, kudos to the OP for trying. Hope all those bikes are ok!

Why would I go back and edit the post to add the information that's in the pics? Why would I block them out of the pictures?
Why does any of this even matter?

Who cares, its just nice that you posted this to inform the owners if they're on here. No point in starting the whole "ZOMG PLATES VISIBLE IN PICS" argument...

Siiighh.... Mondays...

I was walking by when the owner of the red HD arrived. The FZ6 and R1200R were resting on the HD, so we righted the bikes. We left notes for the owners as well.

Did you avert your gaze so you wouldn't see the plates? Seriously, if any of them contact you, I took more pictures. They may want to see what it looked like when all of the bikes were there. Also, I mentioned earlier that someone from the building told me there are security cameras so they may want to check in with security there.

Poor bikes... that front street location just seems like trouble with construction and all...

Kudos to OP for the pics.

I don't know what your referring to in regards to license plates...as for pictures, the notes did refer them to the forum where pics of the bikes tipped over have been posted

You're browsing GTAM and you see your motorcycle tipped. Ouch! Video will likely reveal an _____ __man fleeing the scene in a late model ______ (fill in the blanks).

Good job OP. I'm sure the owners will be very appreciative of you.

Wow, so the OP stops, takes time out of his day to take a number of pictures to alert the gta motorcycle community and receives slack for not covering the license plates in the pictures. He was probably late for work, I know I was after I talked to him and offered help to pick up the bikes. Decided not to pick up the bikes because there may be more damage because they were so close together. Considering that he may have posted the pictures with his smartphone since that's what he used to take the pictures, ever think he was more concerned with alerting the riders and not uploading them his work computer and altering the picture to post on gtam while at work.

It's ok with me that the pictures were undoctored. In the real world you can see as many as you want, they're not rare at all. They even have VINs and everything attached to the vehicles visible.

Thanks OP for the public service and helping out.

I dont care if the plates where visible,I am just happy someone cared enough to give the possible owners a heads up,thanks to the poster for careing.

yeah, GTAM is typical of a cross section of society here... bunch of whiners. Cant please everyone.. how does that joke go? oh yeah, ...

"how do you know that you've landed at Pearson Airport?....

.. When the pilot turns off the engines, you can still hear the whining.."

Major thanks and big up to the OP - Emefef for the post and the pictures and Red Harley for note on my bike. Mine is the white BMW and I ran into the owner of the black Yamaha when we got to our bikes around 5:45pm today. The scooter was still there (but not Red Harley) and we guess that a vehicle did a U-turn from westbound Front Street to go eastbound and hit face-on the scooter and the Yamaha. Knocked the Yamaha into my BMW and based on the pictures my bike fell over onto Red Harley. From the damage to the scooter's light we figured it was a truck with a high bumper.

Looks like I just have a dent in my muffler but I'll check the right side again tomorrow in the light. Luckily nothing major and I don't intend to do any insurance claim.

Black Yamaha had fairing damage and nasty bump to the top of the gas tank. Scooter had some serious damage to the front light.

I guess that's the price of free parking. Alternative is to pay $300+ per month to park in a garage downtown.

Again - thanks!

too bad no one had an alarm.. could have got someone's attention to look.. and *maybe* get a licence plate

That area during the day, for sure multiple people saw it go down...non bikers usually don't care one bit, it's one less murdercycle from their streets

Thanks OP (Emefef & SuburbanBWS-R) for posting this, taking the time to write the notes and take photos. What can I say? I'm having BAD luck! This is the third, yes THIRD time my bike has been knocked over. Once on private property. Once in front of traffic court (beside a Tim Hortons=witnesses!?). And now on Front street, probably in front of a tonne of witnesses again.

I appreciate the post, notes and photos. You taking the time to do all this is much appreciated.

WAH!

Front street parkers should pool $ and hire a homeless person to stand around there to keep an eye on bikes while panning for change....

Maybe buy them lunch or something

Back when I was at U of T, this happened very frequently to my bike. One fix was to park the bike on the centrestand rear wheel to curb, which made it harder to tip. Most new bikes don't have centre stands.
Toronto needs to waddle its Mayor to Europe, where thousands ride to work every day in big cities, which have designated scooter and motorcycle parking. This doesn't happen there.

You mean like this? No idea how half those bikes will ever get out.
