Biker who leds cops on 160 mph chase nabbed 4 months later

Comments on YT are pretty funny.

Fail. If you're going to do something illegal ... don't post about it on the internet, anywhere.

You don't even talk about it. Oh, maybe in generalities with no specifics as to time, date or precise area.

We had a local cop that made a regular stop in plainclothes on his own motorcycle and would strike up conversations with sportbikers. All of us old guys knew exactly who he was and why he was there, and gave him nothing or something which would get him riled up a bit but no specifics at all... you know... "Man, it sure didn't take long to get here today!" Cop: "Oh yeah, where were you... what was your top speed?" "Oh, we don't speed, we were just talking about how light traffic was." Chuckles all around... SuperCop looking annoyed...

Thankfully he retired in 2013. If you got pulled by him, you weren't getting one single favour.

lol @ shaman. amazing tho. sheer stupidity of some riders is shockingly entertaining. like brian said, if your going to do something illegal don't share... poor guy, whether it was him or not....

Why people insist on providing evidence against themselves, I will never understand.

seen a ton of vids like that lol theres some crazy ones.. why chance it tho, buddys probably never gonna be able to ride again

Was the video even evidence, though? Cops knew that guy on bike X had clearly done all the things in the video, but they didn't know who the guy was. The video itself doesn't provide any clues to his identity, it was only because he submitted it to a third party in a way that was apparently not anonymous.

probably matched things seen in the video like paint work, keychain etc. (Theres another video of that guy looping his bike. )
thats how they got that one guy in BC the other year. From a unique marking on the fairing paintwork.

fair game, you do something dumb, you post it online, oh well you suffer the consequences.

Now, what is not safe...are these cops engaging in highspeed chases.
Kill yourself, don't kill others as you rush to give a traffic ticket...they need to stop and think about the danger THEY pose.
Rider= dumb and stupid
Cops= smarter, to protect the public...

"Police have seized his dirt bike, helmet, camera, laptop and jacket.
Darrigo, whose leg is broken from a bike crash about a month ago, said he's been riding his entire life and will never stop. He said he plans to ride more carefully in the future."

Hmmm... Seized his dirt bike...? "Riding his entire life" at the age of 20?

He probably made the second common mistake ... talking to the cops when they came knocking.

"No, I don't know what you are talking about."

"No, I do not wish to answer any questions."

"If I am not being placed under arrest, please leave my premises."

I hate to say but they are your rights. My family has lawyer background we would have done the same thing when cops come knocking. Why? to protect ourselves. PS: We are not white.
