Fi just push the button. If you open throttle on either the motor can easily be flooded.

On most Fi bikes, if you hold the throttle at 100% the computer will disable the fuel injectors, so you can turn the engine over and start to clear the flood. Once you hear the engine sputter and try and start fully release the throttle and it will re-enable the fuel injectors on the "idle" cycle and you should be good to go.
