Do bikes stands fit most bike models? I have a Ninja 250 and would like to put it on stands for the winter. If I buy the CT stands will they fit?

Royal has this set on sale for $89 and they fit the 250.... Also tried them on a friends cbr 600 and they fit also.

If you get a rear swingarm stand, just make sure you get 10mm spools for your ninja 250r. I myself use a rear swingarm stand for the 250r and I also use a front fork stand.

Canadian Tire rear stand will fit almost anything with spools because you can bend it to make it wider or narrower. Front stands are always more tricky. Personally, I haven't used a front stand yet in 3 years of riding.
If you want a spool-less stand, get a set from Kapscomoto for around $80.

If you can bend a stand, I'd never ever buy that stand. Good stands should fit properly, not be bent to fit the bike.

It's designed to be bent, that's how you adjust it. What do you think can possibly happen? It's not like it will spring back to its original shape.
It's a cheap stand that works, I've used one for 3 years.

Never seen a stand that was designed to be bent. LOL. Good luck with that one!

i grabbed mine from kapsco
adjustable pegs so there's no bending of the actual stand

seems much safer that way

Guys....being able to slightly bend a stand horizontally to make it an inch or so wider or narrower does NOT make the stand weaker vertically.

From what I have seen as far as built quality I would go with either TREX RACING stands or PITBULL ...but the yellow "bendy" ones will do as well.

T-Rex sounds like a great bang for your buck... if you're in the States. Shipping to Canada kills the deal. Price shipped is pretty much the same as buying Pit Bull stand locally.

Just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Logical fallacy.
And why would I need luck? I've been using it for 3 years on 2 different bikes.

The problem is that you don't have to see something to know that it's wrong. I studied enough materials to know what's good and what's bad. Like I said, good luck with your super-flexy stand. I'll end my argument at that, as this is going nowhere.

Just bought a front stand from Brampton powersports. Guy told me to stay away from fork stands so I ended up purchasing the one that connects to the bottom of the triple tree for $80. Seems way more secure.

These two front stands are for two different functions. I have this same stand that connects to the front triple tree - with that stand you can work on the front suspension as it is fully extended/relaxed.

Seems like with the fork stand it could be easier to knock off then the triple tree type. It has a bolt thingy that goes in almost 2 inches into the bike.

You have to see something to know what you're talking about, you have to bounce on 'bendy' stands to adjust them, so 'super-flexy' is way off. I'd be happy to show you one in action.

BVP. My stand has adjustable horizontal bars to fit the bike properly. Yay.

I have 2 sets of BVP stands. These are not great stands, but they do the job.
They aren't one piece stands, made easy for shipping because they can be assembled afterwards to save space, which is why they are cheaper.

Rear stand had to be 'flexed' outwards to fit my ZX7.
The adjustable horizontal bars also don't rotate that well. Almost dropped bike once not being careful.

In any case, CT stands or BVP are good for starters and will get the job done without too much headache.
For quality stands, look elsewhere.
