Bike Detailing

Anyone know a place in the east end that details bikes? I want to get the bike all cleaned polish up for spring. I dont want a car detail place, they have to know how to detail a bike properly (ie no cleaners on the seat and or tire shine, no cleaners on the chain etc). I am far too busy with work to do it myself and I would rather leave it to a pro. Damn black bike are hard looking pristine.

Whats the point of owning a bike if you don't wanna spend some quality time with the girl?

Really. If you don't spend time loving your girl, she'll spit you off.
Take the time to look her over, fondle her and make sure all things are in good shape.

Yeah I'd much rather do this type of thing myself. Can peeps put up a list of products that one would use to do a proper job?

I am happy you guys can spend the time cleaning your own bikes. I work insane hours. I leave my house Sunday afternoon to drive to work for monday (can be anywhere in ontario) I run a crew of guys at least 12-14 hours a day. This week was almost 40 hours regular and 28 overtime. I sleep in a hotel from sunday night to friday in the am. Drive home and attempt to spend my 36 hours of "free time" with my family. I just pray there no emergency forcing me to leave.

In all honesty, the bike can rot in the garage before I will give up a second to it over my kids and wife. I have to deal with my oldest son screaming for me to stay home every Sunday night. Its frustrating enough asking for people for a good reference for something I would rather do myself but then to have others advising me to do it myself is irking even more tonight. If I had the time I would do the work myself and not be asking for a reference.

Please guys, If you have a reference just let me know. Any straight forward answers are appreciated. I have had a long week and I appolgies if I sound angry. I'm overtired but happy to be home.

Thanks

BTW CN.ca is hiring 20+ signal maintainers. We have tons of work right now.

Thanks. There a point in life where you just get too busy. Via wants an express track in from Oshawa to Montreal it completed this summer.

LOL lets hope I get the job at the TTC I applied for, its twice the wage 1/2 the hours.

Im sure theres a lot of coflicting opinions but heres my say. I always wash my bikes with Mr. Clean auto dry. It is worth every penny. Saves so much time. Can you dry out every nook and cranny on your bike? I cant. With auto dry you dont have to worry. It all dries with zero film. the kit also comes with a scub brush that works great on rims, frame, suspension, brakes (all the non body work stuff). After the bikes clean I use this spray on and wipe off stuff made by Lucas. Ill get you the name tomorrow. My brother convinced me to use this stuff and im not lying to you guys it is amazing. It looks like skimmed milk when you spray it on and you just wipe it off with a terry cloth. You can spray it on your winshield, your paint, your rims, your guages. ZERO residue, and it looks like you waxed your ride no BS. Its like gods tears for your bike. thats all i use. I have a shammy (spelled right?) too and a bunch of rags to clean all the greasy stuff around the chain.

Thanks, that sound like a great and easy process.

P.S...09 ZX-6R??

Id suggest sending an email to service dept or just calling GP cycle or Rev or any dealer that sells a bunch of higher end preloved bikes.

They must have a detailer that comes in and looks after this stuff, they cant be paying mechanics for cleanings.

From the other side, time spent cleaning my bike/car/boat only works at 3-5am if i cant sleep or if its pouring rain out.

he will come to your house and has done my cars and bikes

i've seen his work on the autopia forums, this guy is good at what he does.

GTA in Detail, did my brothers BMW when he bought it, and he does some real quality work.

It sounds like you're going to waste as much time as you would if you did it yourself anyway.
You're going to have to be there to let the guy in, you'll have to be there to get the bike out, you'll have to be there when the guys done.

Just do it youself and be done with it.
