+1, though if you posted on some other forums you would be given the riot's act, today was talking to a rider with a classic 1000cc Kawasaki riding with ligh tennis shoe's but did have armored jacket go figure.

Agreed. Those of you with glasses can also use the eyeglass cleaner stuff (cuz its ammonia free). NEVER use anything other than a soft microfiber cloth to clean the visor.

I have lived at home all of my life, it just happens that my parents and I haven’t shared a home since I was 18 :)
 
Chances are that you will drop your bike at some point, probably sooner rather than later if you are new to riding. Learn how to pick your bike up off of the ground.
You will feel embarrassed enough having dropped your bike in an intersection, parking lot etc… But… you will feel a little bit better If you can manage to pick your bike up without looking like an epileptic panda bear

Biggest rookie mistake? Mistaking the bike's abilities for your own.

I've been riding squid some days...but do I get enough rider cred if just my boots, helmet and gloves are worth more than half the ******** gear people wear? i.e half face helmets, ****** vests, Nike hi-tops etc...
 
I also hate it when newbs ride like they are on a bicycle, way over on on the right of the lane, almost kissing off the curb.

Cars just don't see you over there man, they will pass you like you are a bicycle.
 
Rejoining a forum you have been banned from with the same name and at least not pretending to be someone else and then going the same things you got banned for.


I would say thats a pretty big rookie move.
