Big bike event

I'm thinking of attending. Want my older boy to try out the jr red riders course. There isn't a pre registration iirc for this, so it's first come first served. So if we do go, will have to be early. This one is the free ride for kids, see if he likes it, before I drop some $$ on their full day course.

Anybody know how you sign up for the Gymkhana competition? I checked the site but didn't see any registration information.

Might be booked up already. The other option is that it may be a first come thing as well. Try calling the head office, the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful.

There is no pre-registration. Show up early and sign the day of. The same goes for demoing the bikes as well. It's first come first serve basis.

Well that's good to know. I missed last year cause it rained or something but I'll be going this time.

Its fun and you can demo some good bikes - but get there early and get in line. Some licence restrictions.

Honda knows how to do an event. Looked like pretty much the full model lineup available to sit on, a grass field off road course for the kids, a fenced off part of the lot for a "get your feet wet" area to try a Grom or Ruckus (gear provided, and I don't think you needed a license), plus the gymkhana course in another area.

Got there at 10:30 and signed up to demo a VFR 800. Ride was scheduled for 2:30. So yeah, next year I'll be there at 9:30; half an hour before it starts.

However, despite the wait there is still a lot to do. Went for an ATV demo; the course for that was suprisingly good. Watched a bit of the Gymkana comp and checked out thier vintage room.

The route for the demo ride was also very nice with a few twisty bits and was about 40 minutes.

I was surprised they didn't have the Stateline and Fury for demo as practically the rest of the line up was there. I really wanted to try the Fury too.

Overall a great day and the weather even held up for us. Next year I'm bringing my 7 year old boy, who'd have a blast with the Junior Red Riders.

It is a nice demo ride course - and they usually let you wind it up a bit.

Gonna try for the BMW at Mosport next weekend.

We ended up not going, as we had other plans. How was the line for jr red riders?

Check out the website, chance to win a bmw lease with entry ticket

Any info about this event? About tickets, parking etc. links/website?
Is the event child friendly? I plan to go to this event to try some bikes but i only have m1 (m1 exit done,m2 is still pending due to 60 days waiting period).

Sorry, I briefly checked it out, but didn't notice the line up. I was impressed how Honda had all the gear ready for the kids though.

If it was anything like the ATV line, then expect about 45 mins to an hour. There were a lot of families.

Fantastic event.... Tried the grom on the gymkhana course.... Awesome bike but the course isn't for newbies... Took the gold wing for a demo...... Will be my retirement present.... Guy on a 750 crashed into the bushes on the last ride..... Hope he's doing OK now

@spitRR, thanks

The only honda I really wanted to ride wasn't there for a demo. The VFR1200. Ended up on a F6B for a demo because it was available. Pretty nice ride for a cruiser.
Lots of torque and super smooth. And comfort like a lazy boy. Impressed me. And I'm not the cruiser type. I've ridden HD before and I don't know how people pay money for those things when you could ride a goldwing based bike. To each their own I guess. Now I want to try the F6C because it's supposed to be lighter than the F6B. Plus the F6B had some nasty wind buffeting going on, helmet was being rocked by the wind.
