Yep, pretty sure it is. At least that's what it was in the 80s.

Some guys at work got this medal, and now they are going to get really singled out because bieber got one. He's sort of our units favourite celeb to beat up on.

Hate the kid, he was nothing but a social experiment to see how stupid people could be to get them to follow someone who really isn't that unique.

Only if they don't also have a left ear piercing. Getting both pierced has been acceptable years ago. Now it's even gone as far as cartilage, nose, & eyebrow piercings being acceptable for guys.

About a year ago there was e-mail asking for anyone who, in your opinion, deserved one for basically the same parameters one would use for employee of the month. You had to nominate someone for it stating why, in your opinion, they were deserving.

In the orders of merit it's a low priority gong. Lower than the Peacekeeping gong that you got if you went to the Balkans and got their gongs. Medal for getting medals....

Nope, he would have been in full dress uniform. Hair cut, boots shined, pants creased etc. You know, presentable. Funny thing is he didn't want the thing in the first place since it's essentially (I'm sorry for this) a useless medal that doesn't really mean much.

Just like people with money for advertising influence voters? Democracy in general is a very flawed system. Anyone that thinks that politicians are truly chosen by the people are fools. As long as we have TV and Newspapers it will never be the case.

I didn't know either the meaning of the medal. Wow, what an interesting article... Basically, it is a worthless invention used for political reasons....

If Harper wanted more good PR and more votes at next election he should of told that little **** that he can come back for the award when he learns how to dress appropriately.

I'm sure the little **** would have told him to screw off, this wasn't exactly the Order of Canada. Harper's son was going to the Bieber concert, Harper probably set this up so his kid and his friends could meet Bieber.

Males like this guys music? .... If my teenage son told me hes going to a bieber concert id have to ask whether it was for the music or for the throngs of horny teenage girls that would be there. If the answer was the music then....
