If the LEO was having a bad day I could understand her hearing "I'm Canadian without a passport, living in Tennessee, speeding through Georgia" and thinking "I don't have time for this crap. Go directly to jail. Do not stop at Starbucks. Do not collect a latte." Let someone else figure it out.

Re driving through Virginia. I drove to North caroljna this weekend. Virginia, north and south Carolina drivers makes GTA drivers seem like pros. They drive side by side for miles, a lot of people drive with high beams all the time, rarely signal... and don't get the **** out of the way. If I go down there again I'm installing a light bar on the back of my car for all the high beamers.
