I paid $45 for 400+kg of waste at the city disposal. It would have been at least $300 for 1-800-got-junk based on the estimated quote over the phone.

yup like I said....its always cheper to dump it yourself. You are doing the work - so you are saving.

The 1-800-got junk people cost most cuz they use their own truck + their labour. Which is also the biggest expenise. You use your truck /rent and use your effort and save money.
