Good to know, thanks!
Iceman, eh .....? I can't help but wonder that "Iceman" may not be the best judge of temperature! LoL!!
Good to know, thanks!
No pants party? Sounds good to meAs for pants, a rain liner worn on the inside is even worse. Do you really want to be pulling off your pants at the side of the road? Over pants are a hassle, too. For pants, I'll only use Gore-Tex. There's never any fuss, just close the vents and ride on. Expensive, but well worth it, I reckon.
I've given up on rain liners worn on the inside. It's just too much hassle to stop and remove the outer jacket, install the rain liner, then put the whole thing on again. A rain jacket like the Scott one used by Scorpion above, or the REV 'IT Cyclone is much easier, inexpensive, and effective.
If it's a cooler day, and you begin the ride with the rain liner already installed, it makes much more sense.

I'd prefer to have waterproof gear. 15 years ago, I had a Joe Rocket Jacket and a pair of Drystar pants - both were water proof and both doubled as cold weather gear. I have an old Frank Thomas waterproof jacket, but it's shite in the warm weather, so I'm looking for somethnig that is multi season, with a focus on good, waterproof gear for riding my CBR1100xx.
Me too. I think they were the worst pair of gloves I have ever owned. They were cold weather gloves that did nothing but give me frostbite, so I called them The Big Hurt.Frank Thomas...I had a pair of FT gloves.
Man that takes me back.

@KenC held up in big storms? My helly hensan was lacking a storm flap so eventually rain gets through the main zipper, but everything else is solid. Would be interested to get a new jacket, or the HH I have now but with a flap.
I have a Frank Thomas jacket and it's great for cold and wet, but the ventilation is for **** - 22 degrees and up and I am sweating. I have a FT Aqua rain suit, but it's just a PITA to get back into the pouch. and yeah, had the rain suit for AGES - takes me back too.Frank Thomas...I had a pair of FT gloves.

no, that's not true. And besides, I'm looking for 4 season gear that keeps you dry but doesn't make you sweat your ass off in the dry. On a sunny day, it sucks getting wet.all rain gear sucks, just some a bit more than others
just get wet, dry off
hope for a better day tomorrow
cold weather gear is much more important
