Yeah I saw that the other day and thought the same thing. I really like them.

I actually test rode a 2010 Multistrada last night for about 40km and was prepared to buy it on the spot. I had the chance to open it up and get a feel for it and really liked the handling and power delivery. The Termi exhaust sounded awesome too, but too loud for everyday rides, especially super long days.
I'm also not sure I can live with the foot positioning. I know there are peg relocation kits, but the bend at the knee is way to much for me on the Multi, especially with the longer days I like to do. I guess I've just gotten so used to my recent bikes that have had a more relaxed bend at the knees. The Termi exhaust also reinforced for me the need to have a quieter bike, so I'm not that guy in my neighbourhood.

So unless the ergonomics have improved on the newer models or the Multi GT versions, I'm back to looking at other bikes. At least my wife said to exclude 2up riding on the bike criteria because she doesn't see herself riding longer trips with me enough for it to play a factor. So now that opens up the TracerGT to me as probably my top choice.
 
Don't know if this is a good deal or not, But i like it. Sucks they don't have the panniers on it.

its not, I dont think the 2019 even had an adventure sports model
and at that price you can almost get a new 2020 base model with more electronics and a bigger engine.

Looks like it doesnt come with luggage either, previous owner likely took them with him.

Also shane is looking for sexy and sporty, which isnt exactly an offroad ADV bike

It's a great price. A Base starts at $16, 5k, with $1.5K discount. that doesn't include PDI. That one advertised has the first service done, crash bars, center stand, pannier racks, rear rack, and high fender kit. 2019 did have an AS model

its a great price but still not exactly cheap, most of the time the sold ads get removed quick.

On my ride last weekend, I passed some random biker on Elephant Lake Rd and then he was following me for a good hour or so until we finally stopped in Haliburton to get gas. Turns out he was on the R1200RS and it was the first time I got to see one up close and on the road. I thought it was a really nice bike and looked better in person than in pictures. It had some troubles keeping up with my little 650, but that's another story.

How do you find the legroom on yours?
I looked at some pics online and it seems pretty relaxed on the XR - kind of between the Vstrom and the Multi.

You are welcome to swing by and have a look at my 2019 GT. East Sauga. More just to get a feel for it. Not planning to sell right now but FWIW might be willing to let it go next year.
 
Whatever you get it looks like it would work with some off-road capable tires too. I just got back from an all on-road ride with my new Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires on my KTM and I’m very impressed. At low speeds there’s a bit of rumble and vibrations from the blocky treads but up above 80 they feel like road tires and stick really well. Next up will be some dirt trails to see how the blocks help. If they last as well as some owners say I might have found some really good shoes for all road and trail conditions.

Added bonus…no nasty behaviour over tar snakes and some gravel in corners didn’t bother them.
