Best places to sit on bikes around GTA/Barrie?

I have a couple friends interested in bikes now. I was going to take them to go sit on some different models. They seem mostly interested in Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha.

Wheres the best places to go to sit on some cruisers and small/medium sport bikes? Not looking at S1000 territory or anything like that. If I could go to those 3 manufacturers I mentioned, within the same area so I don't have to drive all day, that would be great. Any recommendations?

I dunno about Barrie, but I've tried sitting on bikes at these places in the GTA:

GP Bikes - not too many small sport bikes, but they did have a couple last time I was there
Cycle World - I think these guys market themselves as the largest used bike inventory in all of Canada
Snow City - Got all 3 of the Japanese 300's to try sitting on, some adventure bikes as well, but not much in terms of cruisers

Cycle world and snow city are pretty close to each other so that's also a plus

I checked out snow city and cycleworld websites, they seem to have what I'm looking for and pretty close to eachother. Thanks!

Don't know why anyone hasn't suggested this already;
Toronto Spring Motorcycle Show at the International Centre on April 9 and 10

I will probably check out http://www.markhamoutdoorpower.com this spring; I haven't been there yet.

Honda dealership. A few people here say that they are nice to deal with
That's where I bought my bike, so I've already had the chance to go and sit on all their machines. Their showroom is a bit small but their basement is HUGE and FILLED with bikes. The people there are very nice to deal with.

And wow, that guelph showroom is massive. They have a build log of their building on the website.

I'm thinking more along the lines of today, in a couple hours kinda thing.

There's a place in Newmarket or maybe Bradford that @Iceman has mentioned before...I forget the name. Might be not too bad a drive for you Keswick folk. ?

I think its called Edge performance, AFAIK they are a lot more dirtbike based. They are only about 20 minutes from me so I can go check them out anytime, maybe their stock will get better in the spring!

CycleWorld in Scarborough brings all their bikes outside on the nice days for you to sit on.

Go in the back and ask for Gary. Tell him Drennan sent you and you'll be taken care of.

Never been to but heard about Markham outdoor power, great service there. Came close to buying a bike from there, but didnt work out. Definitely wasn't because of the sales staff.

Much further down, Ready Honda has a bunch in the showroom but its kinda far for you guys.

In the DT core you can head to Albert St. & Simcoe St. Park under City Hall in the Green P. Both locations are walking distance. In the summer lots of bikes are parked. Cruisers, Spotbikes, etc.. Good selection to quickly sit on and feel for the ergos.

Not sure if serious or joking

not anywhere close to you, but they have the big 4 and KTM...never been there myself but since they have the biggest names, might be worth it one day...I have heard bad things about them, but you don't have to buy there, just sit on bikes and see which ones your friends like then buy elsewhere...

Well I ended up going to Cycleworld, Snow City, and Markham outdoor power. It was an interesting day...

Cycleworld was Terrible. They were busy fixing their sign above the door so wouldn't let me in the main store at first. I went in the back and checked out all the cruisers, and I saw a rack with some jackets I wanted to try, but they were buried behind some bikes. Not a big deal, so I went to the desk to ask if they have more in the main store. The guy at the desk cut me off halfway through my question and said "I'm just the computer guy I don't know." I thought that was a little weird, no help even offered at all. So I walked out and around the main entrance to see if they were done fixing the sign, they were and some employee walked me in at the door. That person then began laughing at my friends red Nike sweater/pants calling it a jail jump-suit, not in a joking way he was just being a dick. He asked what I was looking for, i said a jacket around 100-150$. He starts pushing this 329$ jacket on me, hard, and I told him multiple times that I do not want it, it's out of my price range, and I'm not interested. He then tells me about a rack of cheaper jackets in the middle. He came back and tried pushing the 329$ jacket on me AGAIN and I told him again many times that I do NOT want it, its not what I'm looking for. I almost left right there. Then I waited at the parts desk for about 10 minutes, I wanted to buy a tinted visor. There were 2 guys behind the desk, serving one customer, neither of them even looked at me, not even a quick "I'll be with you in a moment" or anything! I ended up walking away, finding a jacket myself that fit very well, was exactly what I was looking for and in my price range, I bought it and left as quickly as possible.

Summed up, I won't be going there again. Their bikes were all dirty and squished so hard together they were scraping eachother up. The service was terrible, and the employees were rude. I shouldn't even have bought the jacket there but it did fit me perfectly and even matches my bike. It's a Teknic textile 3 season with liner, Water/windproof, breathable, armored, just what I needed.

Snow City was Great! I got to sit on the R3 (that was MY main goal of the day), a bunch of Kawasaki's like the ER6N, Versys and 650 Ninja. I checked out all their 3 and 4-wheeled vehicles in the back, they had my visor in stock and the employees were very nice and were more than helpful!

Markham Outdoor Power was the best, by far. The guy who sold me my bike was there, we chatted for a bit while my friend drooled over a Grom and a nice 230 supermoto. I sat on a couple massive Goldwings, finally got to see the F version of my little 300, and even got another tour of their basement (which is full of nice bikes!). I have been there 3 times now and always leave with a huge grin on my face.
