Best Coffee?

Sick of that nasty mud big chains are trying to pass off as coffee? Where do you go for the good stuff? My vote is for Grounded Coffee Co. in Midland. The owners love what they do (he roasts, she bakes) and it comes across in their product. Completely worth the trip up there but the question is, where else is worth the trip?

Higher Ground at the Forks knows their coffee and they use Reunion Island to supply them.https://www.facebook.com/BelfountainHigherGround

Super biker friendly

I also make my own with their beans. Good guys and responsible. You can leave your own mug there if you are regular as I am.

Green Bean in Port Credit.
Best coffee I had here in Canada.

Higher Ground is just okay, nothing special.

my kitchen. Sick of the crap from the coffee shops too.

Couldn't agree more ... I bought a similar machine a few months back, use Balzac's beans ... best coffee available. Highly recommend the 'investment'

www.philzcoffee.com eight locations in the San Fran area. I'm out there for work every two months and always grab a couple of bags of beans for the trip home. Hands down the finest coffee I have had. Not sure if the online store ships to Canada or not. If your ever in the area drop by for a coffee, you will thank me later.

Sam James on Harbord St. For fast food coffee, McDonalds but it has to be very fresh. For packaged coffee grounds I make at home, Ikea sells excellent coffee.

The Alcoa Bakery makes the best espresso or cappuccino. They also have the best bread and buns in town!

Just a basic European bakery and it is not a trendy spot or the place to impress anyone, but the coffee, bread, excellent food and good service make me return.

I guarantee if you get a dozen fresh buns, you will have very few by the time you get home.

I always grind my own beans at home - it just tastes fresher than pre-ground beans. I've had some good luck with the Starbucks beans (I like the Veranda blend, but enjoy the others as well), but I like to change it up every month or so.

Uk? San Fran? ......I thought OP asked for a coffee place nearby.

Well, let me tell you where the BEST coffee is: Dobinsons in Canberra city centre. (australia)
Their coffees and their breakfasts have cured many, many hangovers.
No website, no need.

Happy times...

That's what I was getting at...a place that's a good ride to get to, and isn't disappointing once you're there.

Agreed. Best that I have ever had. Just remember parking in Oakville is not free for bikes. My last Latte at Green Beans cost me just under $25. :(

Green P is just around the block. If you share a spot with few other bikes it'll be almost free :p
