Best breakfast joints?

Sorry, do not know the name of the cafe/restaurant.
Location Rockwood, North of RR 15.
It is on the right hand side going East.
Closed on Weekdays and Saturdays at 2pm, Sunday 3pm.
Sunday mornings is worth a visit as there are at least 15-20 older bikes.
Nortons,Bsa and a gorgeous Vincent, etc.
Really nice girls that take your order, no attitude and pretty.
Clean.

The Satellite in Niagara Falls. Far enough away from the falls that parking is decent. If you are eating on the patio watch your bacon. The bloody seagulls swoop in and grab the stuff.

Coras! are you serious its crap! You guys must really like pre cooked bacon that been sitting around?

I dont care how much fruit they try to dress up the plate with, the actual food is terrible

Ive had some good breakfast at Creme dela cream in Etobicoke or Easy Restaurant down town

You're talking TJ's Diner in Rockwood, and the main girl you're talking about is Jenn. She's young, but stunningly efficient, and a side benefit is that she's got the kind of looks that made man starting painting on cave walls in the first place...

For those in Toronto. Future is a good spot, its on Bloor between Bathurst and Spadina. All day breakfast =) Good portions too.

Hmmmmm....
Fezz's Diner in Coudersport!

or

Eggsmart - anywhere in GTA

Cora's is too pricy and too busy. 1st time I ate at Cora's was in the original store in Quebec. It's more popular here in Ontario than in Quebec - believe em.

Usually go to Sunset Grill in Burlington or Milton, no complaints usually. When I am working I go to AJ's next to Classic Honda on Van Kirk in Brampton for breakfast for lunch. All day breakfast for like $10 bucks for a nice sized breakfast plate with lots of hash browns, three eggs, bacon or sausage, nice slice of ham and two pieces of toast, always stuffed, cant complain. I much rather prefer the mom and pop shops tho over the main stream Cora and Sunset.

I have to agree. Been there twice just to be sure it wasn't the company I was with the first time. I don't understand the place, a real disappointment.

Best in my area, That 50's Diner on Highway 2 just west of Brock Road in Pickering. I also really enjoy Wimpy's Diner in Uxbridge.

Famous Sam's at Woodbine and Stouffville Rd, just off of the 404. And on Sunday mornings you'll see a LOT of bikes. Park around the back for the best spots.

We don't go to Sam's for the quality of food; oily, but it's OK and it's fast. The convenience factor is why it got chosen by the club that used to go to Ringwood (48 and Stouffville). Shortly after the migration, Sam's suggested the back lot for bikes only so it didn't interfere with cars out front and it works better that way. The Harley riders still feel the need to ostracize themselves and park up by the Convenience Store. BTW, the Ringwood restaurant had crappy service attitude and ho-hum food. It's location, location, location when there are 30 plus bikes converging from up to 2 hours away each week and looking for space.

Personally I get more excited at the idea of the Wimpy's in Uxbridge or Daybreak at Davis and Leslie in Newmarket for the food and keep it comin' darlin' coffee.

CORA'S IS YUPPY CRAP.
Cora's in Newmarket delivered me and a woman friend the worst breakfast EVAH. Four years later we're still talking about it. We were not riding but came in a car.
Waitress walked by us half a dozen times without dropping off a menu or offering coffee.
Food took forever to arrive and we barely poked at it with forks.
Eggs Bennie had one runny egg and the other was like the inside of a golf ball. The asparagus garnish was black for half its length, tucked under the eggs.
My sausages were tough skinned and overcooked and wrinkly. Sliced Potatoes (not done like home fries) were sour, undercooked and with burned edges. And so on.
It was grim if not disgusting so we asked to have it all returned and we had no time to wait for a re-order ... big delay until the waitress came back. Here's the kicker...
Waitress: "You don't have to pay. And take these vouchers from Cora's." (normal so far. Most restaurants want you back)
"Go to the front and use them to pay for the meal"
Me: "So we're not eating your food and you won't make us pay?"
Waitress: "That's correct."
Me: "This doesn't add up. We still owe about $5.00 according to this receipt"
Waitress: "That's for the coffee. You didn't complain about the coffee."
The manager didn't have the balls to come to the front after a long wait and we had to get on with our work day. I figure telling this story 100 times to any persons within a half hour of Newmarket will start to make us even.

Cora`s is so overated.
Had a similiar experience to you at their location on Dixie, just North of Burnhamthorpe.

I live in Ajax and I drive all the way to the Beaches to go to The Sunset grill. There is one in Ajax but it is not even close.
Both my kids like Cora's in Pickering but I wont go back its way too expensive and I am always still hungry when I leave.
I took my wife to the Wexford Rest when we where dating and she still talks about how she should have dumped me for bringing her there.
I have been married to her for 19 years thats how much she hated the place.
Later
Bob

??????
Your wife is punishing you by keeping you married to her?

(Just kidding)

I'm not big on eating large meals....especially when I'm about to go riding.

A good breakfast for me consists of good B-fast Sausages, and 1 egg...scrambled.

For that I've enjoyed, Giggling Tomatoes, Coras...I've been meaning to try the Ice House.
maybe I'll try it after tonights night shift.

+1 on Cora's...

...Any Sunset Grill, any Coras, John's on Hwy 10 north of Shelburne (please don't go on Sunday around lunch - it's hard enough to get a table)

I agree to a limited extent. I don't frequently eat bacon though, maybe 2-3 times a year at most. They are however quite expensive. But then that's what you get in menu prices when the franchisee has to work off a $500,000 franchise fee + ongoing fees to use the Cora name. Plus, I'm sure they can only ever buy the food from Cora HQ at a heavily marked up price. That said I do love a waffle with a mountain of fresh fruit on it or an April '89 once a year.
