Best BMW Dealer for Service in GTA?

I wasn't impressed with Budds at all when I took a classic BMW with issues there. That was a long time ago and dealerships are normally not the best place to take classic bikes (long story). I like the people at Wolf but never used them for service. Wolf is also outside of most peoples definition of the GTA (for now). Is this a new bike or a used bike? Are you limiting your search to dealers or would quality independent shops work for you?

It’s a new bike, so my preference is to take it to a dealer (so any issues that might be warranty related can be addressed at the same time.

London is too far - I live in Toronto proper, so the closer the better!

Never had an issue with maranello service on my ‘20 XR. I hear Budds is OK but too far for my tastes. Rumour mill says downtown service is becoming subpar.

Had no issues with Toronto Motorrad (car service is another story) and actually quite like them. Andrew, the service advisor, is an awesome dude.

What bike you’ve got?

Me .... bought the bike from Wolf, bought bike parts from Maranello and service the bike at Budds.
(Variety is the spice of life - old saying)
Point being, use each for their "strengths"
- Mark, at Wolf will work hard to put the bike of your choice in your hands.
- Maranello, were responsive to parts queries.
- John (and Anthony) at Budds are experts with BMW.

My 2c and experience.

the difference in dealership can make a noticeable affect on price?

John Parker @ Budd’s is very knowledgeable but a bit too far for me and very close to Downtown.

Took my previous bike there for Warranty and at that time they would lend me a bike so I could play on the Escarpment roads.

But they stopped that a few years ago.

How is the service experience at the new Maranello location?
My bike reminded me I’m due (and still due for the brake recall), I’ll let you know.

Sometimes I regret not getting RNineT. Though I’m not sure what insurance would think about a new rider on 1200cc. And I really love TFT.
To the best of my knowledge, the R9T does not have a TFT screen (none of the R9Ts in the showroom did). Tho, it is a very nice bike!
The S1000 in it's various iterations, does.

I have ridden both and either is an appealing bike, each with a different set of attributes.

he's referring to his F900, it has one.

bought mine from Wolf. tried them for service, couldn't see eye to eye with the Ian fellow, I think he was the owner. A little weird in my opinion.

Did service at Budds, starting in 2008, If i buy another BMW, I wouldn't take it anywhere else. John is still there? I'd take years of experience and his oversight he has over any of the other shops.

"John is still there? I'd take years of experience and his oversight"

- John, is very much there.
He is on the floor and pitches in to help with complicated issues. With his level of experience, he does not see anything as "complicated".
Anthony, is there too.
They also have another team member who is an ex-aircraft mechanic.
Good place to service and/or repair BMWs.
