Was cleaning the triumph after riding in the rain all day, noticed the radiator a bit shaky, looks like it’s missing a bolt, the other two bolts holding it are snug, it had been in the shop a few days ago for first service, coincidence or negligence?
Probably not safe to ride yeah? I’ll be taking the Ktm out it seems

I doubt the service needed to pull the radiator. Now, I assume the service schedule had a check bolts component that they may have screwed up on. My money is on loose from factory and vibrated out.

Negligence might be a strong word... oversight or mistake would be kinder.
The first service on a triumph includes about 2 hours of labour allocated to inspections and retorquing of fasteners.
This is where you scratch your head and ask yourself. Did they do all those check/inspect/retorque things I paid a premium for in a Factory Dealer Service?
While covering downtime is a benefit, this should not be the reason for owning 2 bikes.
Just one of those reasons why it is good to give your ride lots of love and give it a thorough wash every few rides.
That's when things like that are caught before they develop into something big.
Well......... What "first" service would involve checking rad bolts? If a rad fastener bolt fell off, or was never there, this is an assembly / factory issue, nothing to do with a routine service check IMO.

If you read the official service schedules, most have something along the lines of "check fasteners for tightness". I doubt it it often done well but it gives the manufacturer something to point at if things go wrong.

My neighbor has a an old Range Rover (with a Chev 6 cyl motor) with a bumper sticker that says "The parts falling off this truck are of the finest British craftsmanship"
Coffee can?
I have a house full. I keep amazing myself by pulling out parts that I shouldn't have.
Now and again I can build a bike out of parts... I keep buying TZ parts for spares... I have enough parts to build one, save the bodywork... from spares
