Check isn't too bad.
Adjustment:
Tdc, remove cam chain tensioner.
Remove cam caps.
Remove cams and cam gears.
Remove buckets.
Measure shims.
Replace with shims using the previous valve check clearances to spec the proper shims.
Reassemble.
Make sure cams and cam chain are at TDC marks.
Assembly lube on cam journals.
Torque cam caps in specific pattern.
Compress tensioner and Re-install cam chain tensioner.
Turn engine over backwards with a ratchet to make the cct retract against the guide.
Re-check timing, so it didn't jump a tooth.
Re-check clearances, to make sure you didn't botch it.
High temp sealant on valve cover gasket lobes.
Valve cover install.
Reassemble tank and fairings.
Start to make sure it doesn't go clackity-clack boom.
Yeah, thats a little more involved.
