The RFD guys seem convinced and the police already know about his internet superstardom... it's even in a police report. Dude tried to claim insurance on mods he sold, then he tried to remove the threads on the lexus forum...
I ****ing love the internet...
How does that song go........"and then i got high".I have my own theory -- he wanted to drive on the lake so he could drift, etc. But then he broke through the ice.

Based on RFD - mommy & daddy
Does anyone know exactly how long the car has been in the water for beside a claim from the guy himself?
This guy is amazing and a winner.
He's a local internet celebrity based on the hating threads, internet "proofs" and what seem like idiotic attempts at online "scams"... all of which no one can *actually* proove. Yet we're all talking about him, and he's buying and driving cars I'll likely never be able to afford.
I'm honest (when it counts), and like to think of myself as modestly intelligent, yet I'll never have celebrity or any of the cool toys he has #gottalovelife
What can actually be proven, is that this self-same person was charged with insurance fraud on a previous occasion.
May be a stupid question but how does one get insurance after being found guilty of insurance fraud? Our system would be great if this affected your license as well.
Nice guys finish lastThis guy is amazing and a winner.

... or get mommy & daddy to buy it for youTo my knowledge he hasn't been found guilty yet. I cannot find a record of a trial. That's hardly surprising, though, as it can take years for a criminal case to come to trial.
Since vehicle insurance is a requirement in Ontario, no one can be denied coverage. They can make it extremely costly, though, by forcing someone like a fraudster to get Facility coverage. It's not unusual for such coverage to run in the $6K/yr range, or more.
That's not karma, that's the insurance scammer continuing to have his way! He claimed it stolen then dumped it in the lake after parting out all the go-fast bits in December, because he knew insurance wouldn't refund him for the value of the aftermarket parts.Karma... she has her ways...
