Hey guys I have a 2011 bmw s1000rr, the bike just came back from budds motorrad had to get a recall done for fuel pump, 2 days after while riding I lost all power so I checked the battery and the connector is broken. I tried to reach out to the manager and they are not willing to help with this according to them they did not touch the battery even tho all my setting are changed like the clock etc. I never came across an issue like this so I am not sure how to repair it . Any kind of help is appreciated I’ll upload a picture so you get a better understanding

Thx lightcycle, would soldering be necessary? Only asking because I don’t own one or ever used it
Where are you located?

Post it and maybe someone close enough will be able to swing by your place to help you out.

I am located near 403 and Winston Churchill postal code is L5m7p5, I can also ride it to a location close by (using electrical tape for now)

Yes it's necessary. Take it to a shop if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. Motorcycles are subject to a lot of heat, tension and vibration. If you just crimp it, it'll either fall out or the connection might be intermittent and cause you more expensive problems in the future.

If anybody knows a shop close by please let me know

If you want to come by my place in Milton I can help you out.
PM me and we can work out timing/schedule.

Re-crimping a new terminal is very easy and secure with the proper tool, but that size of cable needs a big tool, and you'd probably only ever use it once. A welding supplies shop that handles custom cables would be an option.

Was it fixed properly?

I can drop by again.
