Well, another good sign that things are getting back to somewhat normal... The NBA opens its doors again to fans.

Managed to get 2 tickets to Golden State V's Denver on the 23rd. It's only half seating capacity but still. I've been going crazy in the house.

Its just a pity Golden State sucks this year. It may be more painful to watch than the virus... LOL

Enjoy, your bolder than I am. I'm not going near a stadium, plane or concert for a while. And I used to be a pretty social guy.

Our home teams haven't played at home here for a while now.

Thanks Crankcall.

I guess sooner or later you either have to accept that the vaccine worked or it didn't. They think that almost everyone who wants the vaccine has already got it and numbers are plummeting so its at least looking very positive at the moment.

I had the Pfizer so they are recommending a third booster shot after 6 months so they booked me in for August. My wife had the Astra Zeneca but no word on a booster for that one yet.

you may have heard, we are a little behind on getting folks vaccinated. LOL

I'm looking at travel brochures thinking 2022 ..... MotoGP in Austin , drunk on a beach in Italy, Tigers game in Detroit, see the Red Socks play the Yankees , the two most hated teams in baseball

Yikes...

I went and streamed some of today's news from CTV. Is it really that bad? Seems like a combination of no vaccine - or at least too little too late - and a lot of people just flouting good advice from all tiers of public health.

What about SOAR, RACE, VRRA, etc. Have they had to cancel the early rounds?

Afaik no cancellations yet but I expect they will be coming. Current state of emergency extends to late May. I expect more restrictions before we see less. Vaccinating ~100K per day. Modelling shows we need ~300K per day for vaccinations to get ahead of rampant spread of variants.
