Bait and Switch?

Thank you for this information I will message you for more!

I saw his message but didn’t know it was an offer to sell. I’ve only ever dealt with dealers so doing a private sale for me would be something new and I’m not sure if I would feel comfortable doing it. But this dealer doesn’t make me to comfortable so I don’t know anymore.
Matt's been around here a long time. I've never met him, but nothing he has ever posted would make me concerned. I would strongly consider his offer. Buying bikes privately also provides an opportunity for "tax efficiency" which can save you a lot of money if you are comfortable with it.
I don’t know Matt outside of this site and I’d feel fairly comfortable buying from him, same goes for the majority of the regulars here.
Don't trust the dealer so getting information from old owner (Katatonic) makes him more comfortable.
Has chance to buy a better deal straight from reputable member cutting out the middleman (dealer) and is uncomfortable.
Seems legit...
@GodzillaV4 sorry, not trying to be a dick but you see how that reads right?

I trust previous owners more than any dealer (unless its new in which its irrelevant)
Will make a thread about this soon

Maybe something is being lost in writing but I trust a previous owner who doesn’t have anything to loose or gain if I buy a bike than a dealer who is trying to make the maximum money for them self. I didn’t know Matt’s post was an offer to sell and now I am taking time to think of it. I emailed the sales guy to let him know I have more information to see what he says about the selling price but now I don’t think I will be buying this bike especially at this price.

Yeah sorry, like I said not trying to be a dick. Selling the wheels off a bike advertised with them is just one more reason I won't usually buy a USED bike from a dealer.
I don't have to trust an owner, I know if a bikes been well maintained.
Either way good luck with your purchase, the Tuono is a beast.

I'm a half hour West of Toronto. You can always come by (we'll both wear masks). If I'm a creepy wierdo, you can always cut and run.

Pm me if you want.

I can vouch for Matt, he’s a standup guy! And his bike is beautiful! He’s the one that did the Race flash for me and got me hooked on the Hindle pipe!

Matt - If you’re selling the Ohlins shock pm me a price. I’ll be tracking my Tuono next year so it should help keep it planted!

Yeah, I thought about that.

Honestly nothing wrong with the SACHS suspension, but an ohlins came up on Apriliaforum for a good price, so I jumped on it.

You'd need a stiffer spring (for track use) Pretty sure stock is for a 180-190 lb rider.

I have no problem keeping the bike, but two girls under 5 take up much of my time... that, and I could use the shed space for work tools.

I haven't been actively trying to sell it, but if this guy wants it, we'll see how it goes.

+1 Matt. Great guy. Mechanically sound, blinker fluid always topped off. Thursday ride woo!

Was he using the cheap motomaster stuff or the good quality Caltex/Mobile1 ? It will make a big difference to how those blinkers will perform in 20k blinks.

Motul.

What do you think he is, a barbarian?
