A school in Buffalo was installing metal detectors to stop students from bringing in knives and guns. It was a school of culinary arts. Why lug a stabbing weapon from home when there are countless options provided in class?Coats, shoes, . . . Like most gun laws, not even an attempt to address real issues that may make a difference, just lip service to say they are doing something. Now, this bas is a little beyond guns but a pen will kill you just as dead as a knife. You need to address the anger not the weapon. For all time schools have done very very little about bullying and then act shocked when someone snaps. That's a good place to start.
It would be interesting to throw a dinner (Steak and baked potato) for a bunch of Chicken Littles. Then don't provide forks or knives because they could be used as weapons. Wine in a box so a stray bottle doesn't get broken and used as a stabbing device. Paper plates as well, bone china can be broken and the shards are deadly.
No chairs either after seeing all the saloon brawls on Gunsmoke.
