ATV's - where are the new ones?

Been trying to find a mid size ATV, nobody has stock on anything but the base models and crazy high end stuff? I've never bought one before - is it like this every spring or is this another COVID thing? I need something for the spring, dealers will take my order but can't give me a definitive delivery date.

Trying to find a new 570 Polaris Trail or Can Am Outlander XT or XMR. Has been a brutal experience, is there a secret to this?

did you try Apex?

Covid sent the sales of all types of powersports products through the roof.
ATVs, UTVs, Watercraft, Snow Machines, off road motorcycles experienced incredible sales last year.
I expect the supply chain is pretty sparse right now.
What size and type of machine are you looking for ?

ATV

It's the gods telling you to buy a dirt bike instead, don't fight it, just buy a real dirt bike and all will be well again.

I’m looking for a 570, either Polaris EPS trail or CanAm Outlander XMR.

needs power steering, winch, bumpers and rear hitch.

My neighbour would likely sell you his Honda. Probably a 300 or 350 about a decade old, garage kept. He only uses it now to go get the mail or carry bags of mulch into his backyard. Not exactly what you are looking for, but it's hard to go wrong with a classic honda.

Ummmm.... No. That would be like buying a Hyosung motorcycle. First off, I'll be riding thru the far north... good luck finding parts in Porcupine.

Next, it would be worth about $2000 after the first year, less after that. 10 year old Polaris, Yamaha or BRP are selling for 80%-100% of their original sticker price!

Marsh's Marina has quite a few 2021 Polaris 570's in stock right now. Choice of colour and options.

All base models. I need power steering (old injuries) and a trail suspension/wheel setup (not a farm ATV).

Check their website.

I’ll call them tomorrow, all the dealers I’ve called have tabs listed that are not in stock. Hopefully Marsh has some.

They had pictures of them on the floor so that's positive. Now whether they are sold or if they are the one you want we'll see. I think they don't have the one you want, but those three had power steering so may be close enough.

Thanks. Hopefully they have one for me!

It's the same with any sport vehicles. Bicycle shops aren't getting new stock in until September.

Very true. My wife is looking for a new road bike and the shops she's called have told her they've got nothing available for under $3k this year.

Along the same lines; I was in an art supply store on Friday and their shelves were nearly bare. I asked if COVID had been a struggle and they said it was the opposite. Demand is through the roof.
