At track power options

How long will a deep cycle battery run a set of warmers?

Most deep-cycles seem to be in the neighbourhood of 85 to 100 Amp-hours, actual capacity varies with discharge rate and temperature and a bunch of other things, but basically, it will be in the neighbourhood of 1.5 hours or less of actual heater on time per battery. I don't know how often the heaters are on once the tires come up to temp so I don't know how long you would actually get.

Don't diesel trucks have 2 batteries because they run them in series for a 24V starter? That doesn't keep you from putting them in parallel for the inverter, but they won't be deep cycles and will be ****** if you flatten them. The number or size of batteries basically doesn't matter as warmers seem to be able to kill any batteries quite quickly, you need power going in at roughly the same speed it's coming out, therefore a huge alternator.

Don't know how long it will run warmers, it runs my lights, cooling fans, radio, and laptop, and coffe machine, all weekend though. The big complaint is noisy Gennys at night. This solves that issue. Works for me.

I use the bigger versions of those all the time for work. The inverter kills the battery in less than 8 hours with no load, When the battery gets low, they emits a screech that won't stop until you switch off the inverter.

What do people need power for at night?

why do people run generators at night. or maybe they just want to piss people off.

I legitimized the "$ per day" cost and bought a crappy generator (coleman)...... it lasted two days

It seems that, with generators, we all have to learn the hard way lol. I have yet to see someone listen and say "I appreciate everyone's advice and I will not buy this piece of **** and spend more money on a brand name inverter on first instance because I know it will be more economically efficient after only it's first year", because I believe you since you did the same and it worked out for you.
I am actually taking people's advices on this one. I work for Canadian Tire and get a 18% discount and won't go and buy a crappy genny , I'll just keep on plugging to Jayv's :)

JK - Honda 2000 is one of my purchases before round one
