Ask for your receipt!

I dont know, if im paying 2500$ for getting work done on my car/bike and i know the guy and trust his work, if he offers me to save 300$ in taxes, i think ill jump right on it.

For smaller items, yeah i get it, get your receipt... but saving money on big items makes more sense to me. I already pay taxes elsewhere so when im in a limbo and can barely make it for the expensive repair (say its a last minute emergency)..im going to take the cheaper options for sure
 
I hope you all wrote down the correct amount when you bought that used bike. You better be paying the right amount of tax on that item that's already been taxed you CROOKS!

How many times does the clerk at a convienence store actually ring in the amount. I'm sure thousands of dollars go untaxed daily.

How does one capture the bartender that is pocketing the money from booze sales, or the waiter for that matter? (Video camera? mark the bottles?). What a hassle.

If an employee of that restaurant wasn't punching in orders and taking the money the owner would call it theft and report him to the police for stealing. The owner is just stealing from the business, increasing his expenses on paper to pay less taxes. He is directly stealing from the government and the franchise as they would've had to pay royalty and taxes.

If the burger costs $5 and you pay $5.65 that $0.65 is what you paid for taxes not for the owner to pocket.

Actually at the end of each night you have to measure the bottles and see how much is left in all of them and record it in a book. They are usually counted again in the morning to see if anyone was a bit off. Some bars even have electronic controllers on the bottles that wont even let you pour a drink unless it has been rung up.

Bingo we weigh them. Bartender does it at the end of the night, Controller measures them the following day then Managers calculate shortages.

My question is Link how many times have you falsified the purchase price of your used vehicles?
 
seriously does anyone here think that our government is doing an acceptable job with the stewardship with our tax money? while its not a acceptable excuse for tax fraud some folks just cant justify contributing to such wholesale stupidity and greed
